Machine....you ever try using a slip bobber rig? It would allow you to keep your jig at any desired depth without counting your jig down or hitting bottom and reeling a few cranks. We use it for a variety of species down here... pretty sure you could put it to work as well
@RichardGeneTheFishingMachine7 жыл бұрын
I have used them. I use that setup mainly in the winter time or late fall, fishing with minnows. Thanks for watching Doug!

how did you get that carpet to lay so well in that floor ????
@RichardGeneTheFishingMachine7 жыл бұрын
I used contact cement. Once it's on it will never come off. You can use a cheap paint brush to apply it. Apply it to the back of the carpet and whatever your sticking it too. Its a little hard to work with but its well worth it. Oh and don't forget to wear a mask cause the vapors are very strong

Great video Richard. It's hot here in the Memphis area also. Say if I can ask, you being a carpenter and all. What glue did you use to get the carpet to stay in place? Did you primer the plywood sections? Thanks for the great videos! Hi to Elmo!
@illduitmyself7 жыл бұрын
there is outdoor carpet glue at any lumber type place. usualy for porches n stuff. works great. or staple from underside
@RichardGeneTheFishingMachine7 жыл бұрын
The best thing to use, no doubt, is contact cement. you have to aply to back of carpet and the surface you are going to stick it to. It's a little difficult to work with, but once it's stuck it will never come off. You can use a cheap paint brush to aply it. Make sure to wear a mask because the vapors are very strong! Thank you for watching Ken and Rick!

@RichardGeneTheFishingMachine7 жыл бұрын
Thank you BD621! I did! What I used was contact cement. you can apply it with a cheap paint brush. Make sure to wear a mask because it has very strong vapors. Apply the contact cement to back of turf and to whatever surface you are putting it on. It's a little hard to work with but once you put it on it will never come off!

I caught a crappie last week that had a large black stripe from his head down his spine to his tail. I thought it was odd because I'd never seen one before. Would that of been a "black nosed" crappie as you said in this video? If so, are they rare or special in anyway? I ate him!
@RichardGeneTheFishingMachine7 жыл бұрын
Yeah that sound like a black nose! i haven't caught a whole lot myself it was just about a month or two back I caught my first one. From what I've read they are black crappie with a recessive gene.
