Fun fact: the music in the first WAD is the first two stanzas of the German National Anthem. After the Second World War, those were banned because they made Germany seem imperialistic. The third stanza is Germany's national anthem today.

The third stanza is also present in said WAD's music track. I believe it's the first search result for German Anthem. A repairman hired by a school in my country accidentally played that one during an special welcome with a German delegation.

I have a logical inconsistency for you. At 23:47, you see him trapped in a pool of green slime, and his health eroding away, and his armor eroding away. But here's the problem. He FOUND the armor IN the green slime. So the armor was sitting in the slime all that time, and it was at 100%, and it was just fine being in the slime and the slime didn't erode the armor away, it could have been sitting there in the slime waiting for someone to put it on for the rest of eternity.... but as soon as he put it ON, THEN the green slime starts to damage the armor. Doom logic right there.

The Nazis depicted other then Hitler are some of his main men - Himmler (ideology), Goebbels (propaganda), Bormann (political party things) and Goering (army). I'd say that receiving Master's degree Diploma on International Relations (studied on Faculty of History) on the same day I'm watching the video has something to do with that, but I remember and can recognize on instance all four of them from the childhood, suddenly, because of great Soviet TV Series "Seventeen Moments of Spring".

Okay, apparently the Nazis took over hell in that first map, the second I knew was going to be a Terry map from the start and unfortunately it failed to disappoint. Map 3 looks like they started but never finished it and decided to release it anyway. Map 4 is probably the most elaborate Terry map I've even seen. Too bad it was just a trap, although someone might be able to edit it so they can remove the Terry element and create a good ending for it.

Hmm... when you noticed the baphomet symbol it got me to thinking... Aquarius have you ever heard of a game called "La-Mulana"? it's a fun yet really challenging metroidvania game that will not only put your reflexes to the test. but your thinking as well. i'd recommend the remake version as the original's difficulty is a bit too much. not to mention the remake looks and sounds better. =)

Wow, if the Germans really had the army of monsters in the first map, they DEFINITELY would have won WWII. We'd all be speaking German right now, and there would be a 20 foot tall solid gold statue of Adolf Hitler on the white house lawn. Well I don't know, it said it was only 614 monsters, and it's hard to imagine that defeating an army of millions. But you absolutely definitely should not have designated it as "crappy". It was an earnestly made map, and even if it was too hard for you, it is definitely beatable, you just were too sloppy about it. As for the nazism, so *what* , the whole of wolfenstein was in a nazi base, because you're fighting nazis, I don't see the problem with that, how is that any worse than fighting the armies of hell. The whole overzealous nazi theme through it was at worst, funny. It was not a crappy wad.
