Love the ending. Also could it not possibly be noted his entrance might also be involved with the tag barrels in Donkey Kong 64. I know they don't explode but it still is the base act of emerging from a barrel.

Just a little thing you may not of noticed. Diddy's falling animation after using the Rocket Barrel boost is the same as him floating in Donkey Kong Country 2 such as that mine shaft level (Windy Well). You may want to make a small video that includes that little information. Other than that awesome videos.

Diddy Kong is one of those characters i love to play as only because i love his original games, Donkey Kong 64 in my opinion is the best of the Donkey Kong games, Diddy was my personal favorite character to play as in the game, and being able to play as him in Smash Bros. was a god send for me though unfortunately i can't play as him correctly but i love using him regardless

SmashWiki says this about down-smash: In Donkey Kong 64, there were banana peels on the floor in Donkey Kong's tree house, and if he (or any other kongs) walk over them, they'll slip, but not trip and fall on the floor.

So a lot of people have probably been wondering about the banana move from diddy. When diddy throws the banana from behind his back that is a reference to Mario kart where when u get a banana u drop it behind u.

Actually he did have a special move where he whould throw a banana peel prior to this game: his special move in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! is the Giant Banana! Maybe the reference is not direct, but still, it's worth mentioning.

@breloomer236 Apparently Sakurai confirmed that Diddy's original Down B was for him to switch places with Dixie Kong. I'm assuming his side B would've been Dixie throwing Diddy and vice versa when the two switch places. Which is where Dixie throwing Diddy in DKC2 and Diddy's Side B in Brawl are connected. Just thought I would speak up and say that.

@CrappyCaptureDevice People DO say Monkey Flip might've been based on Donkey Kong Country games. The move does appear almost the same as when Dixie throws Diddy in DKC2, except Diddy throws himself. I don't know if the two are connected, but throwing ideas around. That Kremling at the end sure is stupid. Guess they are pretty dull... XD

Diddy Kong's winning animation should have been him playing his guitar, and his side taunt should have been him juggling. I also wish you could start a cartwheel again after cartwheeling into someone like in Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2. I alsot would have been cool if you could start a cartwheel on the stage and then continue it off the stage and then be able to jump once the cartwheel is finished, like how you could in Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2.

Diddy's side b is a fully original move people, but if you want any sort of explanation (I'm not crappycapturedevice, so prepare for a sucky explanation) Diddy Kong obviously jumps on enemies to deal damage, and they couldn't really translate that into Brawl without changing it otherwise it would be overpowered, thus they made it the Diddy Flip. That explanation sucked, but hey, it's all I can come up with. Oh yeah, and they probably also thought of monkeys being somewhat athletic.

@@miguelgarces8946 Monkey Filp is two references. One is when DK jumping on bosses in Jungle Beat. The other is when Diddy does his jump kick, is meant to be a risker version of Diddy jumping on enemies in DKC 1 and 2.
