Unfortunate. With this being a launch directly into a curve I can see why it went wrong. It looks silly but this is a difficult place to launch a car from. I'd like to see all the "professional racing drivers" in the comments do better ;)

In such a case, the start being directly into a curve, maybe you start a bit more careful than just flooring it and hoping for the best? Even in you want to drive fast in your own daily car, you would NEVER floor it into a curve, would you? Specially on cold racing slicks. Sorry but he acted exactly as stupidly as the video shows.

Clearly he made an error, but to launch a formula car up a hill with limited wheelspin isn't as easy as everyone here seems to think. I know what he did wrong but I'm not going to claim I can do better. Atleast the damage was limited so he can continue on to practice his starts in other events :p

Hillclimbfan1990 I don't think anyone is claiming to know better. But just as we judge F1 drivers for their skills or crashes, we can judge this driver for his lack of skill. He is not a newcomer, I hope. But the way he floored it and didn't let go, he looks like a newcomer. And to crash only after a few meters (feet)? You have to admit it was funny. I think his own team will laugh at him and make jokes.
