Crash Bandicoot 2 - N. Sane Trilogy - Bear Down Without The Bear + Glitches

This is a glitch I came across when I was doing the time trial for Bear Down. At the beginning, I was trying to jump as far beyond the bear as possible, and after I while I jumped far enough to pass the "detection area" or whatever you want to call it. It's not hard to pull off when you know how. Just perform at spin-jump from the very edge where it sticks out the most and you'll probably make it.
Once you get it right, there are several things you can do, like exploring the level, but that's easier said than done. The first jump is just barely possible, but if you land at the right spot, you won't actually die. Now you can try to jump up, or you can walk a little to the left. This allows you to walk under the level for a little while, and the level will lose its "dawn filter" so that it looks like Bear It. You also get some kind of noise. You can also try jumping back up and continue the level. It is also possible to make the jump from the other side, but I only managed to do that once.
Either way, once you're on the other side, you can complete the level. There are a few more difficult jumps, but nothing as bad as the first one. When you get a checkpoint, you will always start over as Crash, so now it's time to see what all the obstacles will do to you. Some of them send you flying just by touching them and it's quite fun to do. Other things just give you a normal death, and the seals won't hurt you at all. Both exits still work, but I only showed the normal one.
This video is comprised of several runs through the level, which is why the life counter goes up and down. I didn't explore absolutely everything, so maybe there's more yet to be discovered with this glitch.

Seeing Crash go flying wildly just from nudging status amuses me way more than it should. Interesting that, rather than breaking boxes by walking into them being a feature of Polar, the boxes in these levels are instead all programmed to break by walking into them. (.i.e it's the boxes that're special, not Polar) I wonder if the original was coded like that?

It probably was. The boxes usually break upon impact with jump or spin, but in the riding levels they break before actual impact. (This was in the original, too!)

I did a glitch with the bear when I didn’t jump far enough but landed on the very teeny tiny edge of one of the ice water jumps and The bear was ‘still running’ but stayed in the same spot so I took a break lol

So I guess polar is just there for looks, since most of the things that happen normally involving collision happen here. Except for jumping on the statues and ice and dying without an animation, jumping into water, and also 3:13. I’m guessing there is a toggle when crash gets close to polar, activating the animation and forcing crash to only go forward. However, polar does respond to controls, evidenced by a glitch where if you die from hitting ice or a statue and then get blown up, Polar runs but Crash stays at the checkpoint. You also can die. I’m assuming somehow the game forgets to move Crash’s model so polar and Crash’s hit box move without Crash. And also the camera only focuses on Crash, so you only see Crash with the animations of riding on polar. Understand? Good, I don’t know if any of that made sense either.

The level looks significantly easier without Polar. Since you can't stop when riding Polar, whereas you have more control when you aren't riding anything. What surprises me is that even if you die, when you re-spawn at the last check point, Polar doesn't re-spawn with you, so it's possible to play the whole level without him.

The glitch looks either realistic or like normal unrealistic bug in some ways if you run at real life and hit the pillar, you should have hit animation like that while most of videogame character doesn't feel any pain when they hit the corner or wall.
