I think this song is a perfect manifestation of N.Tropy's character. He's a wicked, mechanical, time traveling clock man and the theme captures it perfectly with its wackyness, mechacical sounding instruments and this time traveling vibe in it.

In the original, he winds up a clock, notices Crash, turns to face him but seems to accidently smack the clock with his tuning fork. The fact that he quickly looks down to see what happened shows that his impatience lead to this accident. In the N-Sane trilogy, he just pushes the clock back and it descends. It's a small difference, but important I think. It shows in a subconscious way how you're going to beat him. For a "master of time", he is impatient and surprisingly brash in his assault on you, leading himself tired and open. Just with a small animation, his character is shown so well for who he truly is. I also just love how much angrier he sounds in the original, he sounds genuinely furious and his growling voice sells it. Remake Tropy just sounds mildly annoyed.

Yeah that crap ruined Crash for me and most other people. It sucked so bad they didn't even release it in Japan where Crash is very popular. Thankfully that garbage seemingly has been retconned and now we have the remake of the original trilogy and hopefully more remakes to come like Woc and Twinsanity and of course CTR. Vrash is back for real now and he seems to finally be here to stay. Proving you just can't keep a good bandicoot down.

Entropy is related to time, because entropy (the amount of possible configurations in a given system, sometimes similar to disorder, but not exactly) increases with time. Entropy is a property that dictates a direction, or "arrow of time" so to speak, and explains why certain processes are non-reversible. For example, a broken vase does not spontaneously reform if dropped from the same height that broke it, because the broken configuration has more entropy. N. Tropy was my favorite boss :)
