Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped - Level 12: Deep Trouble (Crystal/Gem/Red Gem Get)

Deep Trouble is the 2nd and last version of Under Pressure. Besides being harder with TNT & Nitro crates, it also has whirlpool traps that will suck Crash in like a ghost to a vacumm.
Notice that, before you begin the stage, notice that this level has the Red Gem. Halfway through the level, there's bit of a crate block, which contains an invisible crate. To go through it, you must take the remaining path to the end and get hit "!" Crate, then backtrack to the same spot, where the invisible crate is now a TNT crate. Use that to blast your way through swim through the new route.
If you skip this and just use the first route, you'll miss out on getting both the Crate Gem & the Red Gem.

Is NO ONE else wondering why the hell the RED Gem is in a SEA level? Why not put it into one of the prehistoric levels? That would have made a LOT more sense!

You'd think this level would be easier, having the Submergible at the beginning, but that isn't the case. At least for the majority of the level. The Submergible makes you almost invincible as long as you don't accidentally run into anything unprepared.

Heavily agree. It is boring, long, and frustrating, which is the worst mix for a Crash level. Who ever thought it was a good idea to do backtracking in a water level deserves to name and shamed. The amount of precise bullshit you have to go through avoiding the Nitros and these hazardous spinning fans towards the end is unbelievable.
