I played this game after playing the dark souls trilogy and Sekiro, I swear to god it made it much more difficult for me, now the souls seem like a child's game. I played the crash trilogy at the time and it never seemed so difficult to me, they definitely raised the level in this game.

Getting the perfect relics is hard, because you have to not die throughout the entire stage AND get all the boxes. Otherwise you can tackle the 3 deaths max gem seperately (just ignore all boxes), the hidden gem seperately, and all the boxes seperately (dying as much as needed at checkpoints to keep retrying). For the most part the game isnt that hard. Its just those perfect relics that are

Fun? Maybe. Some levels are a blast. And the pressure you feel doing these runs is enthralling. What you get after completing them though, is abaolute satisfaction that wont come when beating something like Spyro. So it's fun in a different way. Especially when you get a little better, you tend to really enjoy the game. It's just more of a gauntlet to new players and people doing their first run. I just got this Perfect Relic recently(after the game crashed upon completing it, had to do it twice!). Yet it was just an amazing feeling to get there. It does become easier. When the game launched I thought I'd never get near the Perfect Relics but here I am. Grabbing them up.

This level definitely presents you with the “seven stages of grief” for gaming. When I played this level for the very first time to just beat the game, I was so discouraged because it was so hard. This level has the most of what I dislike: insta-kill lasers Even though you have a mask, and you would survive, the lasers just kills you instantly regardless. I understand their thought, that these lasers are at the bounds of the level, so if you touch them, you're going to fall out of the stage anyway. But the issue is that you have the gravity mask in this level, so you could just clip your head into the laser, meaning you wouldn't fall out of the stage, but it still insta-kills you.

For anyone struggling with the double jump off the spinning blade at the 240ish mark, it is possible to slide jump from the initial ledge onto the middle blade and then immediately slide double jump across the rest of the gap. Just slow time when that middle blade is positioned in front of your path. Personal preference, of course. I felt less rushed when I minimized my total number of jumps. Cheers, everyone. For anyone struggling with this level: Turn off retro mode and die on purpose to get mask level 2 so you can phase through tough obstacles. I used my mask for that part because I kept activating the ability too late.

Just completed all the gem requirements in one day including on n verted, especially after dying so many times. Boy was this a hell run. Just maintain that muscle memory and keep practicing on that last part of the level even if you die a lot whenever you're up for the 3 deaths/less part and not start over right after you die more than that(in which case I kept doing before the last section lol).

Thanks! this guide really helps me in the final segment, I did it in the first try going for the gold skull (second time playing the level, I'm quite surprised) Secure tip: you can just crouch and walk trought the part of lateral saws at 4:16 and double jump the laser walls, only change gravity when there's safe land below or above you and not laser floor. At the end the secret is going step by step resting on secure platforms and planing your next move to the next secure place. You can rest on 5:38 then on 6:07 just behind the nitro crates.

The first time i tried this.. i died like 105 times. But now i have the perfect relic of the game. Here are a few tips that could help you. I kind of learned this as i played the game along. 1. Once you finish the story and now aiming for 100%, focus on one level at a time. Stay on that level until all gems, relics, flasback tapes are obtained. This is for familiarization of the level once you are aiming for the time relic or the perfect relic. 2. Once its down to the time relic and the perfect relic. Know which is harder to obtain. For example. I find the Cortex Castle time relic easier than the perfect relic. I used the time trial as practice to flawlessly finish the level. 3. Start from the first level. The game has a nice learning curve where the difficulty in each level increases steadily. Use this to learn the essential skills for time trial and perfec relic. I followed these 3 tips and as of today I only have 5 levels left to clear (also done with Cortex Castle) Have fun and good luck 😁

I have a little less than half of flashback tapes and the time trials left. I'm taking a lengthy break from this and then maybe I will attempt 106%. This game just feels like such a grind at this point. Perhaps a break will renew my enthusiasm.

This took me way less tries than the last level, toxic tunnels. The last part feels insane the first time and then it's easy. Toxic Tunnels took almost an entire afternoon, this took 1 hour. Thanks.

I will say Compared to Toxic Tunnels, this level is really easy. I can always get to the last stretch no problem
