Yeah, I think they changed that one in the remake. Shame. I loved how Crash was indifferent/confused for a lot of his deaths and Coco was "WTF you doing to me???" in N Sane Trilogy.

@@TheDMan2003 I feel like the newer games overfocus on the gruesomeness, when a lot of the original deaths weren't even DEATHS, more funny reactions and consequences. A lot of focus with slapstick isn't pain but humiliation.

The difference between 5:11 and 14:30... Crash already realized he's doomed, but trying his best to hold on to the iron ball, only for the thug to comically "bonk" its top. Coco on the other hand, receives harsher treatment, the thug didn't even give her a chance to lift the iron ball, just outright smashed her.
