I'm not even a pro player yet. And I managed to obtain a Platinum Relic with a time of 0:57:47. Mind you, I retreated to the rope from 0:59 to 1:17 because I didn't want to risk being attacked by the Warthog or mistime my jumps when I was so close to reaching my goal. I actually was attacked by the Warthog at 0:59 when getting the Gold Relic. And either of the ones at 0:13 and 0:24 when getting the Platinum Relic. Hence why I retreated to the rope.

Nah High Road is easier for plat. It’s longer and the turtles are annoying as hell, but the time is significantly more forgiving, and as long as you don’t make any major mistakes you’ll probably platinum if you complete the level. Road to Nowhere is easier to finish but you have basically zero room for error and there’s a good chance you won’t get Plat even if you complete the level.

I still did the 0:59 - 1:17 part on the rope while getting the Gold and Platinum Relics for this level, because I didn't want to risk being attacked by the Warthog or mistime my jumps when I was so close to reaching my goal. I actually was attacked by the Warthog at 0:59 when getting the Gold Relic. And either of the ones at 0:13 and 0:24 when getting the Platinum Relic. Hence why I retreated to the rope. But it's amazing how much my record times paid off after I began to use the bridge as much as possible instead of the rope. For days I was only able to get a Sapphire Relic. Until today when I finally got both a Gold and Platinum Relic within minutes of each other. Up until that point, my best time had been 1:07:31. I bet that time today with 0:58:26. Knowing that it was only 40 milliseconds over the required time for a Platinum Relic, I successfully attempted to beat the required time, my new time being 0:57:47.

I finally passed this shit. I think it took me less time to get the relic on High road than this one. It took me about 2 hours to finally memorize the jumping pattern between long, intermediate and short jumps not to lose a half second when you pause between each wood

Wow, I had so many runs where I was half a second away from the relic. That first turtle pissed me off because he was always too far away from the gap on runs that I was making good time on. Didnt realize I could just swat him away and make the jump myself. I just assumed to turtle was needed. Only took me 3 tries after I realized that

You can also use the ropes on either side and bypass a lot of the obstacles and planks. Just have to get the jump timed down, but it makes the level that much easier.

True. Though isn't recommended to use the ropes unless you absolutely have to. Because using the rope takes longer than using the bridge.

And if I risked getting attacked without an Aku Aku mask, I would have had to start over again. Luckily I didn't, because that ended up being the time I managed to get the Platinum Relic.

@@aon9555 Yeah, I found it too difficult as well. Which is why I retreated to the ropes partway through. Though I find it impossible to stay in the centre of the ropes for long. So I frequently have to rebalance myself, which can cost me milliseconds or even seconds.

nah you can get platinum by the ropes, I just did it at 53:01 though the ropes are a finnicky mistress I'll tell you what was worth it because I had to worry about only a few jumps like the first hog jump

I've tried this level for like more then 50 times and only got the blue relic, I gave up on the platinum trophy for a few days, but watching my trophies I was like: Fuck it man I'm gonna make it!
