So, embarrassing story. M&M's Shell Shocked was the first video game I truly got into. I'm not even joking. I did not grow up with Crash Bandicoot, but I did grow up with M&M's Shell Shocked. Honestly, it is not that good, but I do have a lot of nostalgia for it. Also, Yellow died in that one part because he touched the chocolate. For some reason, when Yellow touches chocolate in the game, he dies. Also, Yellow's line of "Oops. Uh-oh." every time he dies is one that still rings in my head to this day. Call me crazy, but I love this game despite how bad it is. Definitely all because of nostalgia, but I digress. (Also the soundtrack has some serious bops.)

Special moves do have a purpose beyond being flashy; there's an attack Donald can only perform when invisible and it's needed to access secret paths within the levels, hidden passages with items that can be traded for unlockable costumes. These are only for aesthetic difference only, so I guess ultimately this mechanic does only aim for flashiness more than gameplay, but I still found them a neat little bonus. Cutscenes were also charming for what they were, I feel (dig the nickel running gag) and the title game overall wasn't bad for a My First Crash sorta deal for younger players (or Donald Duck fans). That said, I played the Gamecube version in my tender years and your impressions on the N64 one have me curious to check that one out. Good work with the video!

I had the Windows port of that _Lilo & Stitch_ game, which was subtitled "Trouble in Paradise". There was one spot where the road forked, and after completing both branches, nothing new opened up and I was stuck. I don't know if I did something wrong or if the game was just bugged.

Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers! was a game I really enjoyed as a kid. I used to rent it over and over again from Blockbuster (RIP) just so I could keep playing it, and one day when I was older, I finally bought it. I had a piece of paper with all those button combos written on it so I could perform my favorites, though I couldn't tell you the names now. My brother and I used to call those bush-like enemies "Bushwhackers" because they looked like bushes and they would whack you with what looked like a butterfly net. I remember really liking the music and environments and just being able to play as Donald Duck, since he's my favorite classic Disney character. I had never played any Crash games besides Wrath of Cortex at that time and even though I knew it was a rip-off, I still really enjoyed it. I actually still have the game... For the GameCube...

Oh god the feels when hearing the golem putting their parts back together. I played both Lilo & Stitch and Donald Duck quack attack (or "going quackers" in America) when I was a kid and they were a blast for me at that time, especially Donald Duck that now I know has a ps2 version which is very different from the ps1 one, far better for me 😍

Man Donald Duck Quack Attack was my favorite in PC, it gaves me many memories, my favorite world was Duckburg and the ost in Magica D' Spell was really creepy, while Lilo & Stitch made me bring nightmares and i hate to hear Lilo crying so much it feels like the crying Baby Mario

I actually played that Lilo and Stitch game when I was 4. I actually really liked it. It was one of my first games. Two years later when I was like 6 I also played Stitch experiment 626 when I got it for Christmas along with Turok Evolution, Spongebob Battle For Bikini Bottom, and Warpath Jurassic Park. I remember liking experiment 626 even more than the first Lilo and Stitch game. It's been a while though, so it might be my nostalgia talking. I would enjoy seeing you cover experiment 626 at some point just to see if it still holds up or if I'm just crazy.

I had lio and stitch on pc but I don't ever remember getting that far as a kid. I think it might be cause a lot of the models scared me enough for me not to get too far (I was like five or six). I do remember being unnerved by the plants, rock golems and especially Stitch's model. I also recall the disc being kind of scary looking with Stitch being rendered against a dark background (I only remember the disc more vividly because as a kid I carried around the disc and the jewel case we had it in to a lot of places I went too...Yeah, I don't know why either)

I remember playing the Lost Formula M&M game on PC when I was a kid and it's such a stressful dreamlike memory that doesn't even feel real anymore. I can still remember how the clunkiness drove me insane and how many times I died because the jumping was so fricking imprecise. Ah and when you died at 15:48 - you touched the chocolate. Or let's say you got too close to the hit box of the chocolate. So it killed you. But at least the computer version looks 3 times better than this version...

I had the M&Ms game when I was younger but it was broken on the level where you play as yellow at the very start (I think it was the second level but can't be sure) so I just kept replaying it hoping that the next I got there it would work... It never did

Some levels in pac man world 2 play like crash levels. Like being chased by avalanche as you platform through a corridor while the screen faces the player so they can’t see everything in front of them. And it’s actually a good game. Though most levels aren’t like crash levels it has a few levels in the style of crash levels and tbh some of them are arguably improvements of the crash level equivalent’s ( like actually being able to see far enough in front of you when being chased by a avalanche in pac man world two compared to a boulder in crash)

Great vid as always AntDude! Gotta disagree about Sly Cooper 1 not being a Crash clone though. It super is. One key detail that makes it this way is that you only have 1 HP (and you can get a horseshoe to shield you once). It's just like Crash and Aku Aku. The HP system combines with the enemy pattern system so that you simply cannot tank your way through things by chance or aggression (as you can in most other games). In both Crash and Sly, you have to time out the enemy pattern and then make your move. With only 1 HP, you die if you try otherwise. The reason I made this post is because I just played Sly 1 for the first time a couple weeks ago and then I found this video of yours! So I wanted to share the opinions I formed.
