Amazing to see a young man, most likely in his 20s to be such a great humble person, interview people who are exceptional at what they do and always keep class high. The fact that somebody like you could have under 100 k is what’s wrong with traders who say trading isn’t profitable. Great content.

What am I missing here? @4:05, she says you enter at the open of the 2up candle. But how do you know if it's going to be a continuation before the candle has closed? It could go either way. I've seen this too often, someone uses a pattern as if you can go back in time and play it as if it's a pattern when it's not evident yet. Again, what am I missing here? Also, the chart shows the entry at the top (don't know if it's red or green) of the previous 1-candle, but she says to take the entry at the opening of the next candle. Why does the chart say one thing and she says another?

Hi, thank you for the videos. I have been an unsuccessful trader for a while. Emotion & indecision kills. So folks directed me to the strat for undisciplined traders to become disciplined. Not so much guess work. But granted I'm very new to this. But just from some back testing & paper trading. One does the entry candle let's say a 2 you have to wait til it becomes a 2 right? Also it's just 6 There is hardly any chance that you will be able to use this on a 5 min chart. With stops that tight the "noise" will stop you out almost everytime. Enen with a tight /minimal loss it would happen so much all those little losses would overshadow your gain. When you finally hit one.. Which as I have moved up to the higher times. 15 & 30 min it is kinda nice not so omg the sky is falling 10 times in a hour. Now I like to cheat (cheaters never win) but if you get a bad candle and you are trading the 15 min.. You can just move out to the 30.but changing the trade mid trade is not wise. But my question is if you are trading the 30 min and you take a peak at say the 15 and it throw an against your trade candle up on the 15 min general does that mean you will probably get an against your trade candle on the 30 min? Again thank you

Her return has no relevance to whether the strategy worth our time. The problem is within ourselves. Until you realize it, you wont make progress. So many others show great return but their method may still not work for us. We have to find what works for ourselves, try it all + risk mgt + self discipline + mindset

Hi Richard, Great job providing real insights from real traders. There is no use of level II or orders book here. SMB mentioned it. I like to know in intraday trading whether traders use only price action or Level II or both. Most intraday traders in Australian mentioned that their Australian Level II is essential to their trading. Would be great if you could get traders who can clarify for all? Thanks a lot!

I find this method totally confusing, The concept of broadening formations is intriguing especially in that it seems so different to the vcp, It certainly seems that many downside moves in particulat begin with a failed break to the upside ie a "3" (I think) eg lcid, hood etc and jks in 2020 began its huge run with a breakout to the downside. Maybe in the absence of meaningful supply or demand the market is inclined to move where its gonna vacuum the most money, and forms a broadening formation

Once again, the logic of a smaller stop loss equals less risk escapes me, please explain.
@Wasssa112 жыл бұрын
If you always risk the same amount per trade, a small SL means that you get a better risk and reward ratio, in other words you always risk the same amount but with a small SL you will hit your target faster or you can go for a higher ratio relative to a big SL. This is one way of looking at it. I hope I explained it a bit well.
@johngreydanus20332 жыл бұрын
@@Wasssa11 Yes, I understand the concept. When people mention risk, they need to be specific then; is it dollars at risk, or the risk of being stopped out? Generally, they mean dollars at risk, therefore, if you always use position sizing say at 1%, then the risk is always 1% - doesn't matter if the stop loss is 10 pips or 50 pips.

Targets at the high of a previous candle are way too small for small account holders. You'd need a large account size to have enough shares to make this worthwhile. The concept is logical and directional candles make sense.

Maybe I'm missing a piece of the puzzle, but a couple of observations on the Strat .... there seems to be an arrogance in the cult of Strat on FinTwit specifically. They only post winners which to me is suspect. It feels like a scalping method which is not something I am interested in. I have seen a few videos from Sara and Rob. Also the use of statements saying "we know the market will do this is when" is erroneous given the randomness of the market.

And they work much more often than not. She includes time frame, entry price, stop price and targets. How many traders do that?
