Depending on structure - plan and or plan correctly followed or pilot kapability. In between are technical problems like wrongly charged on board batteries. Importent is to construct and fly a model as if you are to travel in it yourself! Fred

Hi K en! Great you found and watched my video. You are of cause correct. If yo go to my KZbin ScaleJetFred channel you find 2 postings I recorded of an replica being flown in germany 2001 by Delmar Benjamin. At some stage Delmar tied to land (not planned!) and hit the concrete edge with the left wheel and just about managed to stop the GeeBee from flipping over! He was lucky and knew it - shotly after he presented this replica to a museum for static display. I was very lucky to see it fly and talk to Delmar. Greetings, Fred

There's something about crashes, I suppose the risk of crashing is the lynch pin of what makes these things exciting, I genuinely feel for the owners! Especially the high spec models, I don't own or fly any model planes, if I had some of these planes I would be so worried about crashing them I wouldn't be able to cope!! You'd see a grown man cry I reckon!!!

Hi Nigel, thank you for your nice comment. I pass it on to the pilot. I fly models since 1960 and had feelings like you loosing a plane. and I did because I am a self thought modeller without help and guidance at first . to day I begin preparations to fly my oldest and most liked large plane. The 24 kg 3.5 meter span crop duster powered by a 5 cylinder radial gas engine did its first flight of many 1998! Two repairable mishaps did take place...- 2 videos about it are posted on my ScaleJetFred channel Greetings from Ireland
