My nephew/cousin runs our 4450 in a trash pile. Fist time ever driving a tractor.8430 GPS issues and more cotton planting on a Saturday morning.

I understand how GPS would make it easier but why completely stop if it's down? I know some farmers in my area that really rely on GPS too but my uncle farmed corn, soybeans, wheat and tobacco for 50 years and he didn't have GPS and got by fine.

Only thing we have to have gps for is to plant. We don’t have row markers so it would almost be impossible to not plant with guidance. Everything else you could do it the old fashion way
