@justforever963 жыл бұрын
He has always been a country/farmer sort in real life, he bought an old farm years ago, and he mentions that he raises donkeys in one of the older episodes, before his final character had been fully fleshed out. Like most of what you see in Top Gear, his character is a lie. It is not a real person, none of them are (although they may bear some resemblance to the actual person in some ways). So the character Clarkson complains about country bumpkins and farmers, while the real Clarkson lives in the country and has a farm. James May is probably in a rock band, and Hammond is probably a well-read member of several literary clubs.
@mattcartwright82723 жыл бұрын
@@justforever96 He's more grumpier in real life!
@DovahFett3 жыл бұрын
@@justforever96 If Drive Tribe is any indication, James May is EXACTLY like his "character". But really, they all share more than just "some resemblance" with their media personalities. Similarly, you can find Clarkson complaining about the same sort of stuff off the show as on it, like electric vehicles, vegetarians, public transport, cyclers, etc. Those personalities are just exaggerated versions of what they actually are themselves. Also, while he did have a farm beforehand, he (by his own admittance) rarely if ever visited it, and actually had someone else farm and manage it for him. He only recently decided to give it a go himself. You can find an interview on the BBC where he discusses it further.

Watched all of Season One today and can’t wait for season two! Jeremy Clarkson is an Icon and the Lamborghini tractor is fitting. A bit extreme, but that’s inline with his persona…lol. I was expecting another burning caravan series, along the lines of Richard Hammond’s castaway series. It still has a lot of the Clarkson humor! However, you get to see a bit of who the man is, his values, and beliefs. I was impressed with how passionately he advocates for the hard working men and women in farming that pour their heart and soul into feeding the world. I think he is trying to squeeze in as much career as he can while he can, before he is too old or looses relevance, to pass the money to his children. And some people just love to work. This is like semi-retirement compared to filming TG or GT anyway. He lives on a farm and farms, he might as well film an episode of silly shenanigans occasionally. Best programme / series Clarkson has done: brilliant !. When can I get the 'I've seen Jezza's Big Tractor' T shirt or a bumper sticker would do.

Jeremy has born to be a farmer with that massive 🚜

I would hate that bloody tractor 😂😂 only clarkson can get away with it

Lol this takes me back to the tractor challenge they had on OG top gear, where none of the trio knew how to operate a tractor.

I remember the judges were going to grade their plowing, on a scale from 0 to 10. And Clarkson got half a point. And I think he got that half point because the judge used to know his dad.

Brilliant show! However it's much easier to get stuff lined up while the tractor is running and you are in the cabin😅

Jeremy said "I can drive it but I don't know how to operate it" He can make it move but he has no clue how to hook it up to a trailer or cultivator.

always a joy to hear Gustav Holst. Doubly so in such a context
