Thanks for information ! Premium amount will be loose if we keep buying put every months. Say yearly 12 -15 % loss will be incurred if you keep buying put every month of 1-1.25 % premium amount put. Perfect situation where user needs to buy put should be explained. Second option is to sell call 5 % far and use that premium to buy the put. This might be better hedging so you do not pay put premium from pocket. But it will be difficult to manage who is new to FNO/Options.

@@enthushaurya8163 HDFC current price is 1405. Hdfc 1480ce. Call price of 1480( almost 5% far) is 15.5 inr. Important level of hdfc is 1380. HDFC 1380 PUT price is 23 inr. You can sell 1480 call for 15.5 inr and buy put of 1380 put. If you have shares equal to lot size or at least .8 of lot size then only you should do it. Otherwise mo meaning.
