It's the throttle that got me in the same way too. The bike was fine with the angle, we just ask the ktms gods for too much at once 😂😂

Your angle was so crazy, your side stand or back wheel nut hit the road, causing the slide.

1:03 tap that to repeatedly see it. I think you get on the throttle before you start to upright the bike. You are still leaning at maximum, open the throttle. Maybe next time start the upright and open the throttle. Very nice cornering but it is a live road. If anyone is slightly on your side then you're in real trouble. And maybe so are they. Would be good if there were training sections of road in every town, for practicing on. Driving improvement areas.

To bring the thing down to the footpeg is already the fruit of skill, a good tyre and the right conditions. On the kart track I could not keep it on the tarmac, so I did not lean so far.

As a dirt and supermoto rider myself (as well as street and road course) I get the riding position, but there is a reason the fastest road racers in the world use a completely opposite body position on asphalt. Good on you for posting though! Content like this is helpful.

dude this is insane. Is this on stock suspension? Now that you have leaning down and you are comfortable leaning the bike over, I think its time to start getting faster by harder braking and harder and smoother accel out of corners.

Don‘t really understand that type of riding style. Yeah, you have no chicken strips on the front wheel, but nobody rides like that in supermoto racing anymore. I think there is a reason why 😅

Hope you had sliders and other bumpers. Don’t know, to me it’s stupid attempting to lean that way and putting at risk the bike for nothing 2:01 . It might cost hundreds of Euro even replacing a lever or a piece of fairings. Unless it’s your spare bike, of course, and you own others.

Why are you leaning on the opposite side of the turn ? I always heard you have to lean your body inside the turn, like in moto GP.

It's different on dirtbikes/supermotos. You try to sit on top of the bike while it leans in the corner.

By doing so the rider only increases the lean angle. If leaning is done to the inside of the turn the lean angle decreases hence you can go even faster

Nice angle! It happens, same too me. Accelerated too soon before picking the bike up. Also, you got seems banking in your favour, but you start maintenance throttle it seems too soon, right at the first quarter... try to carry more speed then more deceleration that allows for picking the throttle later almost at mid corner, and you can close maybe the corner even tighter and faster ;)

It's called lever, if your pegs touch the ground, you will start lifting your tires = Less Grip.

That tire is not wide enough to do that lean, but even with a wider tire, everything has its limits.

Suggest tucking that foot in and get a KNEE down= greater adhesion. Lucky you didn't torque off your left foot.
