Exact same scenario happened to me today . Decided to touch & go then land from the opposite direction. Came over some trees & lost orientation of the plane about 3 feet above the runway bounced & flipped my Venus. Luckily only Cracked the firewall.

Have to be extra careful when challenging ones self. Fix it, fly it, let's see more of that plane without the hard landings.

I got her all fixed up and changed out those hard foam wheels.

To many crashes lately bud! Slow down a bit, pay attention. It hurts everytime I see you crash! Lol but fixing and building is half the fun. But building new planes not fixing is better. Not to much to fix the front wheel steering though and she will fly again. Have a great day and happy flying!

Tell me about it. Yes too many crashes but learning opportunities. You have a great one also!

What a great plane! You showed several stalls just before touch down, and the last time too much vertical speed. I didn't expect this from you. It's better to land this plane with some vertical speed, some necessary horizontal speed and without flare at all. I have Flitetest Grumman Widgeon, which flies much likely (only without flaps), and it's very stall-prone. It descends and lands with thrust all the time above zero, to ventilate the wings all the time. It cannot effectively glide. I belly land it on grass, and don't flare, just go down with decreasing vertical speed and "get ground" to the grass with some horizontal speed, then pull off the thrust. This plane will be even better, with the flaps. Flaps are a great feature, and you could blow them all the time till the wheels touch the ground. Good luck!

Some planes you just can't get right. This was mine. Sold her.

Actually the HK Bushmule had reverse before the EF EC1500 did. The HK Tundra even had it before those 2 did. ;) I LOVE my BushMule!

I don't know if you completely cut the power on that landing but the BM likes to land with power. Shell bounce hard if you try to bring her in with no power.

Well I have since sold the bird. But yeah a little more speed wS needed.

thanks for posting the video. Do you have any recommendations as to how to fix that front landing gear? Mine is ok but the entire housing is not supported and wobbles all over. In other words it moves forward and backward . i put epoxy around it but it didn't stick well.to the foam. Help

One thing I did was removed to stock push rod and installed a more heavy duty one with measure "Z" bends at either end. took out some of the slop. However you cannot adjust so make sure all is neutral before doing it.

That hurts even just to watch. 😢 So, is this model not capable of a dead stick landing? 🤔
@FatGuyFliesRC2 жыл бұрын
No it needs a little speed unless you can time it just right with a flare at touch down.

🤣🤣🤣 your depth perception got you again you misjudged your distance for the flair.
