Thanks for the video! Just a feel things I'd like to point out that I noticed while using this video to get every box in the Switch version: - You forgot clockwork wumpa. - The boost pad is not really required in deep sea driving. - In the Switch version, the blue mushrooms aren't present close to the box in Out of Time. - In Hyper Spaceway, you don't need to fall anywhere. The track simply has a "shortcut inside the shortcut" which is what we normally use while racing. The box is hidden right next to the step in the "normal shortcut".

The trick with that is to place a tnt on your head and get near the dash pad. The explosion will make you tumble over the pad and drop on the box.

Hyper Spaceway is just along the normal route, no need to make that "George of the Jungle" leap of the shortcut. You can even see the AI casually drive past it on the normal route. Nina's Nightmare is even easier than that, there is a hole in the fence by the ramp that you can just simply drive through, no need to build up speed. Personally I didn't even know about this area until yesterday.

Doom Demon To find Clockwork Wumpa's Beenox crate, after passing the area with the trap door, pass the ramp that you'd use to take the suspended bridge shortcut, and then do a 180 turn (or turn around to face the ramp). You should then be able to see the Beenox Crate sitting right in front of the ramp, where you can simply drive into it.

Ring Rally. A nice user in the comments mention they come in any game mode. Use Ring Rally for an extra boost. It'll take you a few tries, but you'll get it. Good luck!

I take the shortcut straight up and it works like 90% of the time. It is just better to have sacred fire when you are doing it. Also you can use any engine. I used the speed engine to beat Velo there.

Interesting tactic with gingerbread joyride. I did it a little differently. I left a green beaker right at the turbo pad and drove into it. When you're spinning you won't be affected by the turbo pad. I wish there were more puzzles like this instead of just "drive backward until you see the box".

Coco Park was cleverly placed. I am especially proud I found that one on my own. I found all on my own except for Crash cove cause I watched a guide to see what the box looked like. I really wanted to find them on my own and it took longer because I did not know you could leave after getting the box. You can also fin them in time trials but with some it is much easier to do in regular race. Gingerbread Joyride comes to mind. Tnt makes it where you bounce over the dash pad and fall on the crate.

I unlocked the crate yesterday. Raced with it and thought it was pretty ‘crate’. I use the drift engine (I can’t u-turn to save my life, so the speed engine rarely works for me, especially as an N. Gin main). If it weren’t for the other characters in this update, I’d main the crate all the way

Why is everyone making gingerbread joyride so complicated? You just need to hold break over the turbo pad so you don't get the boost and you fall straight down. Done

I know a different way to get the box in Gingerbread Joyride. Drive to the box, and hop on the boost pad while holding y, I found out that by holding y while on a boost pad doesn’t give you a boost. So, hop on, get to the right angle by hopping and turning, and very quickly let go of the y button and press and hold again, repeat until you get the box

I just found out about these boxes the other day. I must hav missed this video 3 YEARS AGO. I was playing with my son and I took the shortcut on Meteor Gorge backwards to pop out and surprise him. Then today found the one on Crash Cove just messing around.

Here's an alternative method to get the crate in Gingerbread Joyride. Do a race and get one of the first two item crates in first until you get a beaker, then (optionally) get 10 Wumpa by hitting the box by the Blue Fire pad. Approach the boost pad near the Beenox crate carefully and back up into it, leave the beaker in the middle line of the boost pads, drive away and turn around and hit your own beaker, the slowdown from hitting the item will bypass the boost and make you hit the box. Trust me, I really had to think outside the box for this one and it might be easier in a race than a time trial.

For me the Gingerbread Joyride crate was really difficult. I tried everything but on one of my attempts I fell too far from the crate and in a panic threw my beaker at it. Then I heard the glorious sound of breaking wood.

Hey! As a head's up for players, there was another user in the comments here who mentioned that you can find the boxes in any mode you play. And they were correct! For those who need that extra boost on Sewer Speedway (cause goodness knows I need it, I never make that shortcut), play Ring Rally. I decided to go box hunting on Ring Rally, and after a few tries, I managed to make the jump and hit the crate just as time ran out. And to be on the safe side, I even double checked just in case, and sure enough, I got it. Just a tip for those who have trouble, that should help. Good luck!

Hey, CGE, you don't have to go through Nina's Nightmare to get to the crate. There's a little opening where the sc ramp is. You can just mosey on in and drive through to get it.

Thanks, there are two thing I have noticed. The first thing the crate top is not sealed which mean this could be someone hiding inside. The second thing is another reference to Crash Bash and it could be Crash bash style game on the way (not this year I hope later on) not a remake or remaster but a work from scratch, that what I hope anyway.

Another tactic for GBJ, I played in 2 player single race no AI. I left a beaker right in front of the pad for myself to hit lap 1, and without anyone else to hit it or break it I hit it lap 2.

For the gingerbread joyride box what I did was use a red beaker on myself because the effects of the red beaker completely nullify the boost pad

In Gingerbread Joyride, you can also use one of those bottles and put them right infront of the boostpad to spinout and not get the boost. Then the charather should drop on the crate

Dunno how I missed that Out Of Time box, on Switch there aren’t much blue mushrooms there, just a lot of sand. Edit: A tip for Nina’s Nightmare; if you can’t gain enough speed to hop over the wall, drive a bit farther, you can drive past the ramp and back up to where the box is. Other edit: If you’re having trouble taking the blue fire path to get the box, stop before the gap with the box and position yourself to the very edge to the wall, then step on the gas and jump for the box at the last moment. It took me a few tries, but this way I was able to just barely clip the box. Longer paths for more acceleration seemed to be a failure, as that way the angle wasn’t ideal. It’s probably possible that way as well, but for me the former worked in less tries. Other other edit: I GOT THE GINGERBREAD JOYRIDE BOX!!! I just didn’t think too hard about it and it worked! I went forward, pressed brake hard just before the boost and steered left, falling right onto the box.

It's hardly a shortcut, but you can use it as an escape if a rocket is chasing you at that very point, or as an alternate path for when you're neck and neck with someone and you're not sure if they're holding something to bop you with.

I'm realizing all of the graphical differences between the ps4 version and the switch version. There's no tall grass at the papu pyramid or jungle boogie boxes, and the out of time box is not surrounded by blue mushrooms. It's a barren wasteland there

I found the box random on Oxide station by myself, and don't know what is that box. I broke it, and not happend anything.
