Kind of makes It’s About Time a real disappointment in comparison because it did the complete opposite of the fan service by only acknowledging the ND era with a handful of nods towards the post-ND games. Right down to just sidelining everyone else but the big three. It acts like only the original trilogy matters. Nitro-Fueled on the other hand not only acknowledges all eras but also helped the Crash universe feel massive with the roster we have. Every game got a nod and everyone relevant got brought back from OG Tawna to Megamix. It’s a monument to how far the series has come since 1996 and how thoughtful it is to even give other games past-CTR real love despite the majority consensus that the series wasn’t quite the same after the PS1 era. How many gaming franchises or franchises in general are that willing to do that for their less popular eras like this game did? Not many I reckon.

@@rayvenkman2087 Nah this is a dumb take. You can’t compare fan servicing in a cart racing spinoff game to a canon sequel lol. It’s so much easier to fit huge amounts of fan service and crossovers into games like Nitro Fueled because it’s not meant to have a serious plot nor does it have any real bearing on the rest of the series as a whole. It’s About Time did fan servicing right. There’s actually TONs of references and nods to the post ND games in that game, but they’re subtle, which is IMO the best way to do fan service in a game like that. Like idk what else you expected them to do, have the elemental masks and Crunch just randomly show up? Or Nina? Or the titans? It would have been a huge mess, and anyone who hadn’t played those games would be confused as fuck, because believe it or not, not everyone that plays these new Crash games played the old ones . Also it doesn’t matter if you agree with this, but the original trilogy are widely regarded as the peak of the franchise, and after ND left the plot and storyline got pulled in too many directions. It makes the most sense logically for them to make the next sequel after Warped, because not only did they just remaster the trilogy, but it also had a simple and mostly cohesive story line that can easily be expanded on, and the whole time travel and quantum realm thing makes it easier to add more references to post ND games.

Oh how I miss the days when this game was being supported... it was one of the rare few games to give Mario Kart a run for its money. Especially in this day and age where pretty much no other kart racer could be enjoyed on the same level or even beyond the level of Mario Kart. This game did *SO* much right that Mario Kart should really take notes from. The day this game gets a sequel, it should hopefully bring about another golden age for the modern Crash era.

I do wish the Nitro Tour and Back N. Time Grand Prix had their own title screen. Nitro Tour one can be all of the Nitro Squad fighting over should be the main character holding the trophy for the title screen until it reverses back to Crash. Back N. Time can be Baby Crash receiving the trophy and Crash chucks him and the trophy in the air so the letters C T and R don't bash into him, the trophy then lands on Crash's head, knocks him out and Baby Crash lands on top of him, holds the trophy and copies the animations that Crash usually does on the title screen.

I Adored all of the Intros but its a real damn shame that they made it that you can pick any of them to stay as your menu screen, Spyro was my Favourite , then the Rustland (as it made me think of mad max) and The Halloween one.
