Hah, I really appreciate all the work that went into the showing of the comic. Must’ve taken an age. I was worried this video would be needlessly mean-spirited but you kept it fairly cool and I appreciate the critique. I’m pretty new at narrative-driven comics and usually write one-off gags or live action so there’s plenty I have to learn still. I skipped past your segment on TomSka is Sad because it was made mostly for self expression and it’s obviously quite a sensitive subject. But yeah, no worries that Crash Zoom isn’t really for you - that’s fine - I’m grateful for the feedback. We should definitely find a better place to display the comics. Any suggestions? Have a good’n!

Hey no worries Tom, I'd be pretty standoffish to watch that part as well. Crazy appreciate you being so open to my feedback though and when I said "its not my thing" I meant more specifically that comic, I actually want to see more of Crash Zoom from you and the team and wish the best of luck for series two. For a suggestion on where to host the comic; I'd recommend using that website you already have (CrashZoomToon.com). Even though I goofed on it a bit, its a completely fine website and would be perfect for posting pieces as they come out (if not just to fill out the website because it's almost completely barren right now).

Puffer Fish Okay, we’ll aim to give the site a retune in the future! We’re releasing weekly strips for a couple months before we start on the next story arc (still just one page at a time because our artist can only work so fast). Thanks again and see ya!

You know about Edd Gould right? Thought it was a bit strange that Tom would have his already passed friend dying in a web comic. Seems a little crass.
@dreamlandbuds77106 жыл бұрын
I mean, it was (presumably) a vent comic, and Edd's death played a big part in his depression...

When I see the dramatic scene from "Tomska is sad" I always read it in Uberhaxornova's voice because it just seems like something he would say.

Now, I'm not going to say there's a particularly strange attraction to that Lucy character...but rule 34 exists for just such occasions.

A line like "Oh no, how did she break out of our extremely weak and fragile cage?!" would probably be okay if it was a spoken joke, and depending on the delivery it might even get a laugh out of you. However, it doesn't work at ALL in text form because it just comes across as extremely clumsy dialogue. It feels like a TomSka joke, but that actually works a lot to its detriment because of that format. There's a lot of other things that don't feel right (at least to my cursory examination) like an over-use of several "reaction panels" to illustrate things like awkward pauses that really makes this feel like it's a script for a live-action sketch or animation, and just being presented in comic format.
