What Is Organic Chemistry?: Crash Course Organic Chemistry #1

Organic chemistry is pretty much everywhere! In this episode of Crash Course Organic Chemistry, we’re talking about the amazing diversity among organic molecules. We’ll learn about the origins of organic chemistry, how to write Lewis structures, condensed structures, and skeletal formulas, and what gross organic compound the Romans used to dye their fabrics pretty colors.

Highly recommend David Kline's Organic chemistry as a second language to help study. It's really good at dumming down alot of what you will learn. Just now finishing my second semester of the class it's challenging but really interesting.

@@omgc3489 practice, practice practice also work with your classmates outside of class. Organic chemistry is concept heavy and working and discussing the material will definitely help cement those ideas. If you use just Kline you will probably want to look up other problems online but there is plenty of practice to be found. The first semester is probably the hardest one out of the two as it is alot of 3d visualization on a 2d sheet of paper. When it comes to resonance get a white board and do the problems on it first, it will save alot of paper and erasers.
