Yeah, I have to agree with @YongL_rd, you can hear you come on the throttle before the apex of the corner. Trail the brakes into the apex and don't throttle up until you want to stand the bike back up. All stuff that track days will teach you. Glad you are ok, and very glad you had your suit. One of the things the group I ride with says every time we go out is "Do NOT chase the rabbit!". What that means is, don't chase the guy in front of you. The minute you try to keep pace with someone, that's when stuff can go wrong. Don't worry if the crash sakes your confidence for a bit, it happens to all of us. The important part is to be able to analyze what happened and to be honest with yourself on why it happened.

I mean I appreciate it there was just no need to say it was a rookie mistake, I’m always open to advice, I think the crash makes it seem like I throttled hard but when my tire slipped out in the rear is when I gave it gas cuz I fell, I should’ve just waited a second longer when I hit the apex to throttle completely out of the corner but it didn’t even seem like the tires attempted to grip the ground, I appreciate the advise tho bro no hard feelings I shouldn’t have said what I said either
@dannyverdel90368 ай бұрын
Can u explain what rolling onto the throttle is? Newbie myself so yeah
@YoungL_rd8 ай бұрын
@@dannyverdel9036 he “rolled” on to the throttle too early is just he gave the motorcycle too much gas while in the corner. If he would’ve waited like 1-2 seconds more before he accelerated he wouldve been fine./ if he didnt give the bike as much gas while leaned so far over he would’ve been fine. Essentially, when in a corner you shouldnt accelerate too aggressively bc the rear of the bike can spin up/ slip from under you. On the flip side if the bike catches traction you will highside. When means the bike throws you off into the air(look up Marc Marquez high side).

As a good rider its important to analyze own mistakes first, but in your case, I dont understand how this happened. Do you still think it happened because of those tires or do you know more now? Maybe the reason was a shift of the roadpressure from both tyres towards front tyre, wherefore the rear tyre lost needed pressure to bring the demanded amount of acceleration to the road? Thank you for sharing!!!

Respect for sharing the video so others can learn. A couple takeaways from my POV. First you had just downshifted so the engine was at it's torque-iest and you got on the throttle early as others have pointed out. However you also appear to turn into the turn instead of counter-steering. I think counter-steering could have easily pulled you through that turn because the amount of throttle you used wasn't that bad. I watched the last few seconds a dozen times and the front wheel pushes left. Practice counter-steering and trailbraking until it becomes second nature. Also kudos for being fully geared up. Best decision you made that day.

Regardless of what you say, you were on the throttle before those white road markings on the left of the road and the traction was lost 15 feet after the road markings. In fact you got on the throttle exactly where the telegraph pole was at the side of the road. That was before the back slid away. You were on the throttle too soon. This is a classic case of the bike being faster than the rider. You got away with it this time. Glad you’re okay brother! What was up with your tires? I know people are saying you got on throttle too early but I honestly can’t hear it. Pace doesn’t look too fast. What’d you have traction set to? If I’m gonna ride fast on street I always leave it on 3 and I rarely put it in full power

This video was cut to make it seem like I never stopped riding but I did stop for a solid 20 minutes before I got back on the road for the last part, I’m running Dunlop roadsmarts they came with the bike and will never be on the bike again haha

@@s1krocket I love my Bridgestone S22, they offer so much grip and I think they’re at a great price point. Triple compound rear and dual compound front is really cool in my opinion, perhaps I’m just a bit of a tire nerd haha. People like the Michelin power 5 too but I’ve never tried them, similar performance but last longer.

Dude you were actually going through that corner a lot quicker than the boy in front. The gap between you two had reduced significantly by the time you came off. Hope all is good I enjoyed the ride anyhow 👍

@rathion28537 ай бұрын
Glad you're okay man. I see a lot of people saying you gave too much throttle too early, but the rev increase happened as you were falling. Maybe it was a little too much throttle, I dunno. I think it's more of sometimes the grip you get on public roads isn't always what you expect. The same amount of lean/throttle could work in 10 corners, but then that 11th one is just a little different. Gotta be careful pushing it out on public roads.

I’ve done a lot of high speed twisties riding. My first thought before you even crashed is that you’re getting too close to the outside of the corner. 1) it leaves little room for error if you’re too hot in the corner but 2) mostly that you’re getting too close to the loose stuff and the marbles. It goes straight from pavement to dirt (no shoulder)…have to stay away from that dirt and gravel in the corners.

Dude you're awesome for sharing this 🙏 ty bro. Always remember; learning is part of mastery 💪💪
@Andre-py9ry7 ай бұрын
Thank God you are OK! You probably know this already but I will write more for other newbies. Increasing lean angle, engine rpm increase because tire radius is getting smaller. If in the same time we add "decent" amount of throttle even a new tire will slip. It will happen even in 125 cc if we add all throttle while leaning, tire will slip. All inputs has to be smooth - Smooth is fast, fast is smooth.

Lamb Chop Rides had a similar low side when he was tracking a ZX-10R. The Kawasaki super sport bikes seem to have a brutal power delivery when they're leaned over. Even with traction control...
@s1krocket7 ай бұрын
It’s not even the power delivery that was the main cause it’s more of the fact I loaded the front by braking and immediately went back to my throttle before the turn which disrupted my suspension, it was a mix of like 3 things that I naturally do and they finally caught up to me

That was a weird lowside, definitely tires and not your fault. Early throttle application was fine, not out of the ordinary. Don’t listen to these idiots saying you got in it too early. Early throttle stabilizes the chassis. It was a slip situation not a throttle problem. I have done over 400 track days and ridden and raced for over 40 years. You were good bro, tires weren’t. No worries. You got this shizzle buddy. 🦾👍🫡💚😁🐉

When open the throttle you lose the traction on the front, dont do it before apex of the coner.
@doviziusop7 ай бұрын
I hope you wont be afraid to open the throttle in corners next time. It’s just you open the throttle as you increase lean angle. You can open the throttle, just carry enough rolling speed(coasting) and lean the bike over first. Then you’ll realize how much throttle you can give.
