J.O was clearly not fast enough on that part of the track. Hicky went for a massive gap left by Jason cleanly and was unfortunately penalised when Jason clipped him. Tommy's move was rude but it happened due to Jason's lack of pace around that bend. Motogp riders rarely miss an inside move without at least some view to check the gap created. Road riders know this also. Without spacial awareness you are not a complete rider.

Hicky was safe. On a race bike there are no mirrors so if your wide you check the inside. Jason failed the basic rule. His penalty....unjust and harsh. It was to send a message to non showdown riders to back off, clearly Tommy's move was more aggressive yet his penalty was less severe. Two different riders known to be trustworthy on track and the same result occurred with the same rider. Not merely a coincidence.

@@geoffreymccormack2090 Anywhere else I might agree - but that's a double apex corner and you miss the first apex to hit the second faster. He wasn't THAT wide at all, and if you look at the bikes following both of them you can see they're all on the same line (might not be the best angle for that, though). Overall - just a racing incident, though.

@@jcaterracing in a car maybe, but if you watch bikes you will know they hug the inside corner all the time, however with BSB being so close if you choose to take a wider sweeping line or go slower into a corner you at this level should expect to have someone up the inside, Hicky did everything he could but O hallaran had committed to the sweeping line and kept turning in, contact was inevitable. Tommys were closer to the bone but even then it should have been a block pass at most, had Jason yielded (live to fight another day) he would have got points Hicky was firm but fair and harshly punished, Tommy closer to the bone, but still all firm and fair to me

@@philipsimpson1160 No, the line is the line and I also ride on track. If you hit the first apex you get slaughtered down the next straight as you're much slower. All the other riders also know this, so it's a stupid dive up the inside unless you are already passed them on the brakes. Feel free to check out any track guide for verification.

Why go wide! If you’re going wide check your inside it’s your responsibility. It’s like car drivers that do this trick when turning right. Without indicating they pull really close to the curb then slow down as almost to park up then sharply turn right without looking or indicating only to find now someone is passing them on the right hand side & going straight into them.

even though there was a gap the ducati was still moving to fast to make the turn and pushed him off the track. that is what would qualify as a penalty, not that you attempted a pass but your pass pushed him off the track.

MY ANALYSIS · If you run wide when trying to overtake someone, you fucked up - Since he did that and took down a rider, Tommy Bridewell deserves to be penalized for his actions · Niall Mackenzie should be happy his son is not dead

The reason you run wide in that scenario, is because you have either shut the throttle or touched the brakes. Both things are instinctive after contact and both will result in a bike running wide. The Yamaha was slightly offline and significantly slower at that point, which presented a possible overtaking opportunity. It is a racing incident, something that happens all the time, due to the margins for error being so small at this level. Had the same thing not happened in two straight races, you might be able to defend O'Halloran, but the exact same incident, at the exact same corner, at the exact same time in each race, with two different riders. Both of whom gave the exact same reason for their move and the exact same reason for it ending how it did. O'Halloran is the main culprit in both crashes. If he stays tight then neither crash happens. If he isn't slow through there, in comparison to those around him, neither crash happens.

JOH is just not fast enough through this corner, he gets in the way of the fast boys, who take that corner tight and don’t leave big gaps. So he’s the author of his own misfortune.

The Hickman pass was not clean an it was bad but this is much worse some consequences should take place against bridewell cuz these riders taking the piss when it comes to clean passes without screwing over the other riders for fucksake

Bs the gap was massive, any other racer, would of done the same, Hickman was past him at the apex, O show was weak on this corner & is trying to make something out, which was just a racing incident,. Never a penalty & disqual ever
