Brilliant! This is what the hobby is all about. A group of people getting together, having a lot of fun, flying model aircraft. Not hurting anything or anyone.

Bryan really is a wonderful guy. I've worked with him on getting youth to visit the field I fly at and he was the main person I communicated with. His passion and getting kids more experience with the hobby is evident and he was a wonderful guy to work with.

The most likely reason for 'I have no elevator' at 8:02 could be the Spectrum Dx6i transmitter. The stick potentiometers are not the best quality and are known for failures. I also damaged a plane when the rudder locked to full right during flight while flying with a Dx6i. Since then I only use it for cars and trucks.

I used to have a 3D auto gyro. It was an LT25 (no affiliation with greatplanes trainers). I powered mine with an FP40 and then a thunder tiger .46 with Macs pipe. The 40 was enough for aerobatics but the 46 let it hover. It wasn’t quick to get off the ground because it didn’t have a motor to spin up the rotor so it took as long as a normal sport plane to get off. Once up it could loop and roll and do any aerobatic maneuver that has zero or positive G loading. Four point aileron rolls were possible. It wasn’t designed with an elevator but I added one so I could hover. Just pitch and roll on the mast and a very effective rudder stock but that left no pitch control in a hover. I liken it to an sig Rascal in terms of aerobatic ability and feel. My favorite thing to do was take it real high and hover it. I’d hold it there long enough for the rotor to stop (like riding a wheelie on a motorcycle until the front wheel stopped). Then I could push it over and it would start to spin up. As soon as it was spinning fast enough to be stable I’d kill the throttle and let it spin down in a flat spin to land. It was a hoot. Balsa blades and all. Unfortunately the company went out of business and I haven’t seen a kit for one since.
