They show us a machine performing a mission, they humanize it, that's why they say it's "fighting back the atmosphere to keep its antennas pointed at earth". You get emotional cause you see "SOMEONE" sacrificing till the last second for us. If you think about that, that's what makes you cry. That's an archetype story right there, in fact it bears similarity to jesus's story.

This is very emotional!!! Very thoughtful story narration about a spacecraft that had done a great job from its inception and until it's last minute. the story, narrator's voice-over, graphics and the background score collectively made us very emotional. huge respect to the people who had created and planned Cassini', it's course to Saturn and the people who made this amazing video.
