Bro, with some adaptations, this could have a tremendous impact on the mountain climbing/ alpinism community, as we are always looking for ways to minimize the equipment that we take up the mountain. We wouldn't actually have to be carrying an ice axe, once we reach icy conditions in the mountain. If you already did this. Im sure you can find a way to create some retractable crampons as well. This would also reduce the time spent adjusting our gear to go into the ice.

3:35 You could make an negative mold template of your arms and mark out for later, where the system has to be. Then pour the mold made out of several silicone hardnesses so the system will sit in place without constantly changing the position from body movement. Finally just cut it on the inner arm side to hide the holding mechanism (maybe an zip line 😅). Just an idea 😅😅😅

This is awesome, both functionally and in aesthetics. One thing tho, they are meant to stop blades so that they dont hurt you, but you have the "panel" laid on top of your arm, the blades aren't on the side of your arm, so any blade going between them would still get to your flesh, hence its purpose would still be left unchecked. They made the same mistake in the Arkham Knight suit. Just constructive criticism. I could not have done it better than you, but putting it on the side of the arms would allow it to fulfill its purpose Edit: 4:07 Here you see the blades extended, if you imagine a knife going between them (or maybe doing a physical demonstration) it would get to your forearm damaging your Flexor Carpi Ulnaris and Bicipital Aponeurosis (nice biceps btw)
@CrashMakerspace
@CrashMakerspace 6 ай бұрын
@@yanmartin3346 thanks dude! Thats always my goal with this channel; design new designs that have functional but aren’t bulky as clunky like a lot of DIY creations! And totally with the point of blades; these are intended to mount above a vambrace. I actually made a vambrace that stops 9mm that I showed in a Short on here a while back. ALMIITY ALGORITHM GRANT THIS VIDEO YOUR POWER!! Lol, seriously, though, awesome video! Plus one subscriber! (Idea) I think a cord is attached to a thumb ring or whatever finger you want. Maybe a whole glove, similar to those extreme VR haptic gloves. So you may like to close your fist, and it pulls the string to activate the system. Definitely needs a base, like a vambrace/gauntlet or heck a shin pad to give it a bit of height and structural cushion for your arms. Still like the buckles. Oh, and it would look cool, so there's that. Maybe when this advance prototype is further along, you can make the blades more Baterang like. Thank you, and keep up the good work

Has anyone tested these against a (blunt) “blade” to test how well it works for catching blades? That would be cool to see I think. Of course, I imagine for theoretical “actual use” one would want the blades to not be plastic? But, my main question is really, if using these to catch a blade, would these prevent the blade from hitting your arm by continuing between the blades? I guess the idea is that this would be worn in conjunction with other armor also on the forearm’s which would defend against that? Or maybe that wouldn’t actually be a risk? I don’t know

You know if you were to replace those metal blades with something more bone looking - it would work really well as a Nietzschean cosplay… for that old Kevin Sorbo Sci fi show.

His arm blades were not for “catching blades”. That was a genius Christopher Nolan idea and seems everyone uses it now.

The whole purpose of the triangle gauntlet blades is to fight against samurais. Those gauntlets aren't stopping any blade.

Ok right off the bat I want to say these are absolutely great designs but I wanted to ask, are they actually capable of stopping a blade ? Like are you building a Batsuit that is accurate but only in design or a Batsuit that is both accurate and capable of combat.

These could stop blades if made from metal and had a beefier locking mechanism

I don't get why you would wear them atop your arm, rather than the side of your arm, where ever impact would cause them to rotate less. Ō < O-
