That's the tunnel at Road America, fast gently curving and not much run off. If you loose it there it hurts.

That is a gutsy camera guy focusing on the car and not the two wheels heading his way

Run by radio control not by a camera man for this exact reason

No less an authority than Ron Fellows once called the "Kink" "the most exciting turn in North American racing." And I'm quite sure he didn't mean it as a compliment.

Looking for the video for this weekends 2019 Porsche race. I heard it was a crash fest.

there should be an option to turn off the commentary for those who want to hear the Porsches scream instead.

#69 overcooked it on his own, but why didn't car #61 brake as it comes up on #69? Silly and avoidable #61 crash, but glad both drivers are OK.

Because braking in a 911 is an easy way to spin it

They really need to add SAFER barriers there, those concrete walls are dangerous
@chrish9315 жыл бұрын
Katherine Legges crash should have brought some kind of change to the kink but still flat out corner with a wall right off the side of the track, there needs to be more run off or something like safer barriers and paved runoff to the wall, if not it's just a matter of time before the kink brings tragedy like Tamburello did at Imola. I hope it doesn't take someone dying before they figure something out. It's a great corner but with that lack of run off before the wall, far too dangerous.
@Sam-jv6fb4 жыл бұрын
@@chrish931 unfortunately, there is not much they can do, the land right behind the wall is the edge of the property and a rail line is right behind there as well. they could add some sort of barrier connected to or in front of the concrete wall, but then it decreases the grass runoff area, constricting the track.
@PeterMayer6 жыл бұрын
Road America, you need to do something about the kink. You need to fill that land behind the guardrail and put a big sand trap there
@agenthoini6 жыл бұрын
Peter Mayer just a few meters behind the barrier there are train rails so theres not much they can do about it..
@PeterMayer6 жыл бұрын
agenthoini seriously? And they still use them huh? Oh well, so much for that idea. I was there in 2006 during the champ car race when Katherine Legge wiped out. The whole track was so quiet, you could hear a pin drop. I didn't see it. But I was relieved that she was okay
@agenthoini6 жыл бұрын
Peter Mayer dont know if they use them but id guess so
@barrygreig45116 жыл бұрын
Or, keep it the same and stupid drivers will be stupid drivers. It's not even a braking zone. He touched the grass and kept his foot planted. It's poor.
@PeterMayer6 жыл бұрын
Barry Greig that's not the only reason why people have crashed at the very dangerous turn
