And before the Darkness had hit this place, the man was trying to climb this very tower to save his pizza restaurant from the now deceased "PizzaHead" er.. Face.. whatever he's called... Pibby had attempted to take down Peppino by herself, she would've been killed if it wasn't for one of the recent survivors: "Mr. T. Noise"

And The darkness would corner the person in a circle of darkness that would close in until it reaches the person Also I'd like to imagine the story behind peppino getting corrupted going something like this; peppino Is running thru a level, And get's one of the toppins. The toppin however, happens to be corrupted And Jumps ontop of peppino. And that causes the toppin to Spil some of the darkness onto him, Which spreads round until he gets corrupted.
