You do not choke a engine when shutting it off. Yes it will mowing in reverse. There is a 1-7 speed control on left side under choke control. Choke also controls RPM. Holds 2 gallons of gas. Just purchased today, but did a lot of research before hand !

I just bought this lawnmower. I have a self-propelled one but at 70 yrs old I wanted some help.Thank you so much for your review. I am a retired female nurse and this is my first riding lawnmower. I really appreciate the way you explained everything and you go slow enough so those of us that are not as knowledgeable about a riding lawnmower can understand & learn. I didn’t know how to adjust the seat until you showed in the video, it was all the way back, I’m 5’4” and 125 lbs. so, I put the seat all the way up now my foot can reach the clutch. You are terrific with your thorough explanations. I gave you a thumbs up and subscribing to your channel. Many thanks 😊.

Excellent and thorough review! Thank you! I just bought a 2020 Craftsman T100 mower with no idea how to use it, never having had a riding mower before. I searched through many reviews trying to find the basics on operating one and couldn't find any until I came to yours, which is a similar model. Other reviews only mentioned things I already knew before I bought it.

To None Mechanic - I am a 73 year young woman and yesterday I got myself into a situation with my Craftsman T110 and panicked because I couldn't get into reverse. I had read your reviews before I used the mower and have been successful for two years now with having no problems. I mow almost a third of an acre with it and I love it. I came into the house and read your review again and thank you so much for thoroughly explaining the steps to get the mower in reverse. I went back out and had it going in no time. Thank you!!!

Nice mower but I have some tips for you: 1. Don’t leave the choke for so long when you start it and use it while in choke. 2. You don’t need to choke it back up when the engine is warm. 3. Don’t shut off the engine at high throttle because it can backfire. 4. No need to put it on choke when you turn it off.

Not sure if you still have this mower, but I picked one up at the Lowes Outlet Store for a good price. it didnt have a battery but there was a tray insert and the wires, anyway the battery I bought is to big for the tray insert, and when I took the battery insert out, the battery went in to far... i think it was sitting on the axle just above the pulley of the deck. Can you advise if there is someting the battery sits in and the measurement of your battery? I picked up a Tractor Supply Battery, TS/IB-U1L215 measures 7.72" L x 6.26" H x 5.20" W. My mower holds 2 1/2 gallons, because it is more of an industrial mower. Nothing I hate worst is to run out of gas before I am done. The Key area and hood shake because they are cheap, unlike a car. Funny, you took it for a mud run, lmbo When you turn it off, you should slow the motor down to the turtle. If it is still warm, you can start it with the throttle 1/2 way up. Your front wheels, if there isn't a grease zerk on the rim, then you might want to check to see if the axle needs greased a bit to help keep it from wearing out. Just a Tip

Hi, I just bought one over the weekend and it rattled alot. I only took it for a short test drive in my yard. When I shut it off I depress the brake pedal and push down the yellow speed lever to the bottom at the P for parking. I put it in N and shut off the engine. I took the key out of the ignition and got on my knees and had a look at the belt. It seems pretty loose to me. I will see if it tightens up a bit when I engage the PTO lever. With engine off and in park of course. I'm also going to make sure the deck is secure and all the nuts, bolts and cotter pins are in place. The hood rattled a bit but I am ok with that for now. Have you experienced what seems like a loose belt with this machine? Thank you.

Wow. Actually the numbered lever is the gear shift. It has 7 speeds. It does not tell you how much brake you want. Speed is controlled by the gear you choose. Also it is not the cheapest Craftsman because there is a T100. You do not put it in choke when you stop it. Only when starting and it has not been run. By the way. I just bought a T100. They forgot the owners' manual, so I went to You Tube. Yours is the 4th video I've watched and the only one who mentioned anything about the cover being so loose. My cover came off. Completely. The only difference from what you have and what I have is that the T100 is 36" cut, and 11.5 HP. I printed out 5 pages of the manual for the T110, because there is NOTHING about the T100. I learned what the orange triangle is for, etc. You, BTW, are the only one who mentioned the orange triangle and being able to mow in reverse. I'm wondering if that is the way to enable you to mow a slight hill. As in go forward on the way down, and instead of turning the mower around, back it up while cutting then go forward again while cutting downhill? The mower did not want to go up a not very steep hill. If my owner's manual doesn't arrive by the end of the week I just might call and tell them to take the mower. back.

@@NoneMechanic101 - It sure didn't like the little bit of hill I was going up. Maybe because the ground has become uneven there, thanks to the heavy rain last week. But like I said, mine is only the 11.5 engine, the T100, a small version of the T110. I ended up getting out my Black Max self-propelled mower to do that part of the yard. I love that mower except I have a large yard and back problems. I'll try the Craftsman in a few days, after the incoming batch of rain ends. I sure hope my manual is here by then. Thank you.

I don’t think your sales person who ever you bought it from didn’t go over how to properly use this mower the thing you call a clutch is actually a brake To set your Parking brake you must put it all the way down and on the speed control on the seed controls (not motor speed) You must press that down also while holding the break down release break was holding speed control and that will set your parking brake this really helps because that will allow you to have the engine continue to run shelf there’s a problem that you need to diagnose on the engine it will still be able to continue to run

No need to choke a warm engine. That mower it is probably the MTD Craftsman which has economical features hence the hood etc..I would put my own clamps on it if I felt the hood will fly up or shake too much. I have a JD 277 AWS and that in reverse blade shut off is a real pain. Yours is a good mower for what you are mowing and 17.5 HP is plenty of power for an acre.

Hey Bro...I bought this same model yesterday because of your video. Can't wait to put this to work this weekend. You ever think about doing an update video on it and if you had the money to purchase again, would you? I wish the deck had wheels though. Anyways, GREAT video. Thanks/subbed.

NoneMechanic101 this I have no idea. I would not think so. If you can do this. Have someone hold your camera and look at the rollers on the deck. The belt looks very loose that it may fall off. I didn’t see any belt retainers either. I would be curious to see if maybe your deck works fine compared to my neighbors.

I have done it in reverse. You must press the exclamation point to make sure that no children are present. With my Deere I have to hold the button down. Now my question is about the deck with the roller bouncing and the deck shakes.
