I think the cottage is a listed building, I know when it comes to money that might not be a huge issue, but it would come at an extra cost (would imagine the council would say re-locate the cottage somewhere local), but it is one of the things that give the ground some character, plus it is on a fairly small plot of land, so sacrificing the look to just add around 10k seats to make the ground around 35/40k seated stadium might not be worth the effort.

It’s a shame we can’t afford a season ticket in 2023‼️

I think they should renovate the goal end stands as well. Will be really good and modern stadium then

some incorrect years shown here, the first obvious ones are the 1903 which is actually 1906 and 1923 which is also 1906, , there are others too, nonetheless, lovely photos of a lovely ground.

I think they ruined this little treasure as it looks like every other stadium now , for the love of money right…. Epic music in this one great content man !

i would disagree, as a ST holder, they kept the main old stand with the 'Fulham Football Club' bit, with all the old brickwork on the outside so it looks amazing. The end stands had to have the terracing removed by British law and Premier League Standards and whilst they need to improve the facilities behind, they look alright, and are great for an atmosphere. The new Riverside Stand looks impressive as it is, and having solely one big new stand is enough, as we still have the character created by the old Johnny Haynes Stand. It was inevitable it would change but with a very uneven shape, it still has plenty of character and looks vastly different to the big concrete bowls or square boxes you see today.

@@benm1442 to be fair its not like they have a choice the Johnny Haynes stand is a Heritage building so there's nothing they can do. Agree with everything else and apparently there's rumor's that the Khan's are going to buy the properties behind the Hammersmith to make more space 🤞

My first ever visit to Craven Cottage today for the Man U game, what an amazing and unique stadium, love the look of the new stand and most of all the nostalgia of the front of the ground, it's proper old school, I love it!

I absolutley hate the new Riverside stand. I think it looks really out of place and thought the original plan to add a new tier to the old one was much better. But it's still a great and unique football ground the Cottage & Johnny Haynes stand are like no others around.
