My wife and I honeymooned in Pierre Part and was the greatest experience! We ate better than we ever have and the people were amazing! Was also cool going into the little stores and hearing the old timers carrying on conversation in French was a true experience!

Watched part 1 and now part 2. First time I ever had crawfish as well as etouffee was when my mother (RIP) and I visited Louisiana for the first time back in 1994 for the National Baptist Convention that took place in September. Bill Clinton was running for president and Rev. Jesse Jackson introduced president Clinton who spoke at the convention. We stayed at the Omni Hotel in the French Quarters and ate at one of the local restaurants where I had crawfish etouffee and nearly lost my mind. Back home here in NY it's hard to find crawfish so I miss having such a wonderful dish. Ken yours turned out beautiful. I also never heard of golden mushroom before and now I'll be looking out for it. Thanks for sharing. This is my 2nd visit to your channel and I will be watching more videos.😀

I use cream of mushroom but also put in rotel tomato’s. My sister in law puts in salute mushrooms after the trinity. (Hers is awesome too). You can put a etufee in a pie shell and it’s awesome too.
