Vergil is good but he would not demolished Crawford at all. Plus Crawford was already him prior too. Crawford don't train with guys in is weight class but several above so what he's been doing to his opponents doesn't apply to Crawford. Skills pay the bills in boxing not just knockouts. That's why The old Mayweather demolished Canelo & Jaun Manuel Marquez. Crawford's also a formidable wrestler as well which ppl don't know. He's practices & takes down UFC fighters. He's a different animal in himself, these other guys don't have multiple talents like that. He's definitely generational talent. Virgil is definitely nice but I'd have to see more of him against opponents like BUD. He's never faced anyone on that level yet. Name them, I'll wait.........

How is he a once in a generation talent when there are several people in this generation that rival and surpass him??
@Eagle84 ай бұрын
@shay_3859 I think we have to define generation as it relates to sports. In my opinion it's between 15 and 25 years. Being undefeated at this late stage of his career puts him in the class of Mayweather and Marciano.
@shay_38594 ай бұрын
@@Eagle8 Being undefeated in and of itself in a late stage of your career means nothing. Deontay Wilder was also undefeated and he was not near a top tier boxer. It's simply about how good you prove yourself to be, from the opponents you win against. Especially since Crawford is not even close to Mayweather in any regard. If you want to see actual generational talent, Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney are good examples. They both show key aspects of what made Mayweather so good. Gervonta shows the ability to beat bigger, stronger, taller, and faster opponents consistently. With power rivaling 130-135 Mayweather. Devin Haney represents the speed of Mayweather to the point where he can go a whole 12 rounds being untouched by a champion in his first fight at the 140 division. His footwork, strength, and volume punching is just like Mayweather at 135-140. He leaves opponents battered and bloody, in much worse condition than Gervonta Davis does or can. Haney respresents "Prettyboy" Floyd, and Gervonta Davis represents "Money" Mayweather.
@Eagle84 ай бұрын
@shay_3859 Bud's personality and marketing ways are different than Mayweather. The fact remains that he's beaten everyone he's fought. When a fighter isn't your type, it's hard to give it up. Bud's an all-time great whether people accept him or not. We ca respectfully disagree.

He took the punch and was still standing ,whenever he took a knee it wasn't from a punch though 🤷🏿♂️
@nicolasrose306411 ай бұрын
@@TwinNthem "Whenever he took a knee"....!? "Whenever"... doesn't exactly identify what you are talking about, it wasn't "a punch" that disoriented Crawford, he was pummeled, seriously, try again, he tried to hold during a barrage of shots, was unable to keep his legs under him and went down, it was not a "slip", and he didn't "take a knee", it's like you think you are "talking the talk", but what you are saying, doesn't correlate with the action..... If he had "taken a knee", the Ref would not have waved it off as a slip, so whatever TF you are talking about, just doesn't fit anyhow.

That 100% was not a knockdown. And it’s so telling how jealous people were and are when they’re so hell bent on calling a something that wasn’t knockdown instead of focusing on the absolute thrashing that Crawford inflicted on Kavaliauskas.

I haven't heard Crouch's name in quite a few years. He won the Heisman in 2001, was drafted by the then St. Lois Rams, but as a receiver. He opted not to play as a receiver and retired from the NFL at 23 years old. It was a strange year for the Heisman, as Crouch only threw for just over 1,500 yards with 7 TDs and 10 INT. Grossman threw for almost 3,900 yards and 34 TDs and finished 2nd. Weird. I'm just watching this fight for the first time on Christmas Eve, 2023. Just got through the 3rd round, and the ref was incorrect to call that no knockdown. That was a 10 - 8 round for Kava. What happened toward the end of the 6th with the commentary? I don't remember watching a fight (especially this high level) where a minute went buy without a word being said by anyone ringside. Definitely a good sign how Crawford came back after getting knocked down for the first time.

Commentators need to understand that all they do is talk, they don't judge or even train the fighter. Bud knows his strengths and limits. He fought this fight knowing it's within his boundaries. I wish people would understand how good Terrence is and his got resilience associated with his childhood. From one boxer to another, he is too damn good at this.
