My name is Crawford and I’m a farmer.
Being a farmer is more than a job; it’s a way of life. The good days can involve bringing new life onto the farm or sunny days outdoors whilst on others it's dealing with machinery breakdowns and on the worst days, sometimes animal deaths.
Farming can be isolating at times - away from the busy streets and city life - so this platform brings you closer to the inner workings showing the highs and lows and everything in between.
I hope to bring some context to how the food ends up on your plate, from your Sunday roasts to morning porridge and even the tulips on your kitchen table. Hopefully a bit of agricultural education along the way.

Tidy bit of machining there Crawford. No pressure on the welder, you’ll make a cracking job of that. I guess your new plough and a low loader trailer will be coming out of Sellars yard. What rate kg/ha do you apply the Poly Sulphate at? If the lime spreaders arrived you may not have to double handle the product. Tom Lamb was kinda hiding a big ‘ding’ on the engine cover. Weld a bracket in the middle of the frontside of the backplate and hanga set of weights off it. Should be above the height of most stones and can be removed if you want will make the graipe a lot heavier. Guess it's the Kverneland plough then?

Stone Graip will be easy to weld up holes for bosses spot on and I hope it wasn’t to expensive getting them drilled out

if you want as much weight as you can, fill the inside of the tubing with sand or something more dense then blank the ends.

When you get your shed built would you consider doing clamp or round bale silage or is the ammonia straw good enough have never used it.

Keeping with ammonia straw, we grow plenty wheat. They go onto silage pre and during calving tho
