Junk view tires have gone back to being junk. It felt like a fever dream when CC was testing amazon tires that were going on quickview scoring. Things are as they should be now

I think you really need to review the Tamiya BFG mud terrain aka the rtr tyre from the old CC-01 models, I remember running them with no foams, lead wheel weights and every other lug removed and they were still like driving on bricks but back then there weren’t many options to replace them

Mr. Canyon. I was wondering if you’ve ever tested the tires that came with the very first phoenix portal kit? I can’t remember what they are called but nonetheless I have a set and those are horrendous they might compete with the tires in this video for worst in class.

VXT-1s. Yeah. They're pretty darn bad. Not bad, but bad enough that Vanquish now basically tries to pretend that they never happened.

I’m not defending this tire at all I’ll never buy this tire. Frankly I think they look hideous but that opinion and this is a hobby. If you’re aware of this tire being hard why do you put a close stage insert in? Would you not run the softest insert single stage. Kind of like your rant on rtr’s but yet you buy 3 of the elements. Accuse vanquish of being a stupid buy and it’s $700-750 after electronics. The old electrics in a VP are light years away from elements vomit of electrics. Does your fusion and radio link not take your “choice” rtr and bump it up to $450-500 to $550 we have to figure tax and shipping. And would say there is a definite build quality between most rtr’s and a vp. I have no vp rtr just parts sounds like I’m hating I’m not for a kit or rtr it’s just strange to me. Money is an object I agree and what’s the limit on that 50 $300 crawlers or 25 $600 crawlers? -yes I used a calculator to verify my argument 😂 I’m honest buddy, I’m not wizard. Example do 1:1 crawl say you dislike a bfg ko2 so say you get low traction with 40psi and it’s like ah tire sucks. But your preferred tire is a general that rips off a ko2 you air them down to 20psi and go look it does the thing like element is original to itself and does not mirror an scx10ii. You could grab an injora crawler off Amazon and make it your baseline something to think about. Maybe I’m an ass how I think I still appreciate you for what it’s worth. I don’t have follower thinking. Yes these tires do appear to be a pos. 😂 peace ✌️.

First things first: no insert made by man can make a terrible tire good, it can at best make a good tire better. So the inserts in the Hell Hounds are almost inconsequential. Source: I've tested like... 80 different tires. The Enduro SE gets a soft pass as an RTR because it's sub-$300, and doesn't need very much to get past the terrible included electronics (though now, the SC480X is gone) to be something absolutely competent. But I always give people the caveat-- if you want "pure performance," you're better off buying something else. I can buy as many SEs as I want, because let's be honest-- my parts bins are almost certainly deeper than yours. Would I rather be buying Builder's Kits? 100%. But oh yeah, they discontinued those. As to the RTR gear in a Vanquish being better than those in an Element... the biggest compliment that could be truthfully applied to the re-badged 1060 in the VPs is that it's "less worse." The sealed can 35 is just a different color of garbage than the Reedy Crawler, and you could sneak in at night, and swap someone's VS-1 for a Reedy 1523 and they'd never know. The VT-1 is inarguably superior to any radio Element might hand you, but every VP rig also costs $70-100 more, so that's kind of erased. Every Vanquish RTR that has come out in the past year has had the beans counted down to the very last-- until we're at the H10, with every single gear sintered, the slipper removed (to help facilitate the destruction of said gears,) VFD "spec" in place of the lightweight version or (can you imagine) a Twin, and a whole line of yet-to-be-released model-specific upgrades (at a VP premium.) A Phoenix is a MUCH better buy than the H10, no matter what perspective you're looking at it from. If you want to to trail or trail/mix, it's a Phoenix over an H10 ten times out of ten. Want just rocks? The VRD is superior to the H10 in every imaginable way. It's not even close. And I thought I would have to explain this, but Baseline is what he is because he exists to eliminate variables. We test as many tires as we can on the same platform, on the same obstacles, under as close to the same conditions as we can manage. He is not intended to be some kind of "line killer." He happens to be an SE because that was convenient, and parts are readily available. He was born, and lives explicitly to do the things.

You do have deeper parts bins idk if that’s like an accomplishment. For the powdered metaled gears my scx10 1’s you could get a good 2yrs out of the ring and pinion and there fitments are questionable. Now for the OG 3gear it was busted plastic output gear and idler Robison racing replacements but the spur was powered metal I think. I’ve never had an issue with that format. What I’m getting at is if rtr are powdered metal and are VP’s fitments are top knotch so it’s like 🤷‍♂️ what ever do they just wear out no. Every car need dig no or 38% gear split. Can just replace the rear ring and pinion for underdrive. And every rtr I’ve ever had except my early bronco scx10iii and trx4 I’ve had to completely disassembled and put back together at one time. So kits sure I guess I mean. If so for kits get you some tamyia cc02’s and debut that 😂 yuck. With proper gearing I can get spektrum 2in1 and program card to perform nicely with a decent brushed motor. Same with the old HB 1040 esc in rtr’s I’ve had wraiths with that esc lowest pinion metal gear change in the 3 gear run a Holmes crawl master 540 5 slot before fusions and the slow crawl was very impressive. I’m not a brand junky that has one bad experience then everything they have is garbage. If it works it works if it don’t it don’t. Toyota is great I have a couple not everyone has the same experience tho.

Did you update the SE from bushings to BB’s when you first got it? If not, would you consider an update on how the bushings are holding up over usage.

I have no words for this one. When we thought we found the worst tire, chinese rubber arrived to prove they are the kings of the worst If we ever see a tire below this 71.6, they should be instantly erased from this world, not even Mavericks deserves having such a bad tire No need to say they are the lowest score on the list, and they will probably be like that for a really long time...
