Good to hear you back to your regular energy level! Thanks for the review, I hope Timtin sends you some comps or something because they are sold out from your free advertising

9:33 when I hear you talk about prices. I be jealous. 6pc of timtin here I Sweden cost $40. And a set of proline cost $50. So everything is almost 2x the cost here 😢

The TinTins are wider denser than the PLs. I have to narrow them 3-4 to fit in my tires. Never mind, as I’m typing, you mention that. Still worth it. I use a belt sander to narrow them.

I wonder if long term makes any difference . I have cheaper foams that started great too but gave out. Pro-Line foams seem to hold up hot or cold weather wise .

hi , i think i found the actual manufacture of the green foam web stuff i sent and from all places about 4 miles from my house ,i am going to visit them next week maybe i'll get a hole role of that stuff- maybe they have different densities as well

Ask if they make thicker as well! Something in the 12-18mm thickness would be AMAZING

i got a pair of proline ddual stages in my TRx4 Sport, she's quite heavy and i have noticed slidiness, the outer foam sometime slides off the inner firm foam. so i am lookiong into options that are available over here in europe. Right not gonna try proline Single stage, all blue hard foam, she weigths 4.5 kilos, just the front axle alone no wheels is at 500grams :D

What is the thickness of just the white outer for the timtin's? I was shopping reticulated polyurethane foam sheets and was going to order an entire sheet to explore. It looks like a person can get different coarsnesses and i have the idea of trying coarser or finer to further tune the doublebun 2.0.
@CrawlerCanyon Жыл бұрын
I would guess somewhere in the 14-15mm area. If your polyethylene is the same density as what I've been using, that 10-15ppi, you'll want something a little thicker, I would think, maybe up to around 18mm. I couldn't locally find anything in the super-low density to match this stuff. Everything is 20ppi and up.

Man quick question im new to this rc stuff literally couple weeks 🙏🏽 been looking at all your videos!! I just got the new ascent fusion got injora aluminum beadlocks and im gonna be running the stock tires that come on the ascent they are 4.75 OD and i got both silicone inserts from injora the blues and greens Now i cant decide what combo to do or should i just run the timtins in all 4 wheels Also heard of people running the silicone soft greens up front and the blue inserts in rear Weight bias of the vehicle is 60F/40R So greens, blues or timtins ???? Man please help me
@CrawlerCanyon8 ай бұрын
I would likely go with greens all around. The rig is quite light, and nowhere near where Injora blues work well unless they're cut. When you get to the point where you see the limitations of the OE tires, put on some Injora Comp Pins. They work significantly better, perfectly fit the silicone inserts, and are only about $25 a set.
@Senditjp2478 ай бұрын

There was never a chance I'd buy the Pro Line inserts. If I want to spend lots of money on inserts, I'm going 3D printed.

Have you tested the club 5 actual dual stage foams?
@CrawlerCanyon Жыл бұрын
Not the Club 5s, no. I've yet to find a "double open cell" insert that I like. The inner rings have never been firm enough to give the kind of sidehill performance that I want.

There is a 3d printed insert on I believe pintrest they are called yzzr and I believe they are 35 bucks for a set of 4. Been thinking about trying them out. Anyone have any experience with them?
@roytownsend4008 Жыл бұрын
I bought them off etsy, they work really well, I have a set mediums and a set of soft. The soft may be too soft, but I also have heavy rigs. For $35 I would recommend
@CrawlerCanyon Жыл бұрын
A channel member ordered a set for me to test, and apparently the wrong size was delivered-- the ones I got are absolutely massive, and fit a single 1.9 tire, the Pro-Line Interco Bogger. So they gather dust.
@jord001 Жыл бұрын
@@CrawlerCanyon Would they fit a 2.2? Just thinking out loud.
@idiot_RC Жыл бұрын
They didn't impress me...they're certainly better than an open cell, but not as good as other 3d inserts I've used. One of mine started ripping after about 10 hours of use (the outer layer started to separate from the inner). I wouldn't say they're a waste of money, but in my experience you're better off saving a bit of money and going with something like a TimTin, or spending a bit more and going with something like a Squid.
@DJ.10013 ай бұрын
Don't buy yzzr inserts anymore. I'm not sure if they quit making them or if they are just so backlogged with orders but the general consensus is you won't see your inserts for months if ever. I've been waiting for 3 months and nothing. I've sent a few emails asking for an update and have never received any reply. I actually forgot about them till I saw this comment, I should probably go file a charge back.

Have you tried the injora ones? Was curious if they are just as good
@CrawlerCanyon11 ай бұрын
Like every other Injora insert, for whatever reason, they're very small. Like.. useful up to around 4.5" tires. The inner rubber (and yes, the Injoras are rubber inner) are rated just like their new(er) silicone inserts, blue for "lighter" vehicles and red for "heavier." I have a couple sets of each, including an unmodified red set in Axial Ripsaws under a brass-laden TRX-4 Defender. They work great. But they honestly just won't fit most Class 2 tires.
@jayf248711 ай бұрын
@@CrawlerCanyon do you know if they will fit the traxxas canyon trails? I got the blue injora dual stage foams
@CrawlerCanyon11 ай бұрын
@@jayf2487 Far too narrow. The Injoras fit pretty well in tires ~40mm wide. Canyon Trails are . The Timtins are an excellent fit, and will work unmodified. They're just better with a couple wraps of fridge mat than they are with the included open cell outer.
@jayf248711 ай бұрын
@@CrawlerCanyon ok thanks for the responses. I put one of the injoras in and ya it seems like the inner ring moves around in them so I can see it in the side wall. I guess that makes sense if the ring is too narrow for the tires. So you reccomend the Amazon inserts basically as much as the proline? I think I’m going to stick with traxxas tires for now and possibly get the concepts ruptures eventually. I just have a trx sport
@CrawlerCanyon11 ай бұрын
@@jayf2487 the ProLine inserts are definitely part of an ecosystem-- unless you're using ProLine wheels and ProLine tires, there's no reason. They don't really fit other mfrs. beadlock rings. If you have fenders, Tusks > Ruptures. Just for clearance.

Not just Deep Woods-- to my knowledge, the only Duratrax crawler tire not completely discontinued is the Fossil. BEyond even that, it looks like they've cut most (if not all) of the 2.8 and 3.8 tires as well. Hopefully it's just "restructuring."

Baseline needs a line called base line. That wouldn’t get confusing
@CrawlerCanyon Жыл бұрын
Baseline would then obviously have to establish the base line on base line, thereby establishing Baseline's Base Line on Baseline's Line.
@idiot_RC Жыл бұрын
@@CrawlerCanyon you could argue that Baseline's line is the "base line" line for which all rigs should be measured...if a rig can't make it up Baseline's base line, the rig is crap.
@gregmyers3389 Жыл бұрын
No fan of Proline but this test is not really valid. The proline HAS to have grooved center rings, that is the reason for "the slide" and bounce. The tire will have more pressure in the center and less on the shoulder(without a groove to ride in). Having said that, I agree they are WAY overpriced and those cheapies would be just fine. Economy of diminishing returns. Cheers man.
@CrawlerCanyon Жыл бұрын
Fitting that you need $80+ worth of Pro-Line wheels for your $40 of Pro-Line inserts to function properly. I don't count their $15 option as wheels. I don't do plastic beadlocks. I perused the Pro-Line website, looking for anything that mentions that their inserts really only work with grooved beadlock rings-- never mentioned, not even in the FAQ. So I think this serves as a warning to the average person who would buy the only set of dual-stage inserts their LHS carries, not knowing that the inserts only work correctly with Pro-Line wheels and tires.
@gregmyers3389 Жыл бұрын
@@CrawlerCanyon I hate proline tires with a passion, VERY wheel specific. I once even bought the rc4wd center rings specifically for the proline baja claws and still popped beads!!! After much swearing and at least 2+hrs of attempting to get the beads to lock I swore off of them forever. So, yeah expensive and frustrating.
