I think they would be a good choice for the H10....I always liked them...but it's a quite old tech tire too. Now we have to wait for the Rhino Majo, mozo , mazo ..or whatever 😉

I think the Scorpio lugs are too small that they roll out of the way instead of grabbing the rock... Maybe it wants a surprisingly firm insert to work right?

I could never get them to perform I run them on smaller scale stuff obviously but they're the same exact tread pattern right so on the outside I think it's like one two three four so in between the two big lugs there's two little ones I snipped just one of them and it like turn the tire to something completely different starter performing amazing

enjoy the look, just not enough void in the pattern,.... bought a used set of 1.9 to cut when i get time to mess with them. Probably try much softer inserts. 2.2 silicones IMO are going to weigh way too much unless your 7lbs or more to start then who cares.

Which to me is still a really weird pick by JCon. If it were LP Hunks, I would have bought a set already. But the Holds here got passed around like the neighborhood bicycle until we finally stumbled on a build where they actually worked. The Holds are just too "build specific" IME. I definitely don't have anything that would fit a 2.2 Hold.

They might be the perfect tire for things that aren't built for 100% crawling. Optic As the H10 should have come from the factory on 2.2 LPs-- but Vanquish chose to wait a fewe months after release to put out their own-- I think anyone with an Optic that is willing to invest in it should buy either LP Tusks or LP Scorpios. I genuinely think the Scorpios look better. More "buggy appropriate." They just lack the absolute bite (on rock) of the rest of their Green Compound stablemates.

You want that look for something? Maybe for a Willy's... Who knows what is happening inside the Canyon Looks like the Scorpio works better if you can use the inner and outer lugs, and not the ones in the center? At least in Daphne's 94.3 is 30th place. Their LP brothers are at 1st and 4th place...

In my experience with these tires if they are not broken in they are horrible! You must also run a very soft foam with them. The design makes them a lot firmer than they should be.

Does the width change how suspension and geometry react with the grip? I put the 5.25 tusks on capra axles with a 10+ offset rim and they seem to do the thing worse than a set of 1.9 tusks.

It does, yes. I generally say "wider is better," but there's a point of diminishing returns there, just like everything else. Too wide is just all stability at the expense of drive. Any sort of "nimble" feeling also tends to fall away pretty rapidly. IME, 2.2 LPs, despite only being a bit taller than their smaller-rim counterparts, nevertheless have a really different feel compared to 1.9s. It's a different tool for a different application, I think. I mean, look at Wolverine compared to Baseline. If they swapped wheelsets they would both suffer.

@CrawlerCanyon My brain says if the distance from the center of the axle is longer to the wheels, then you are applying less down force on the tyre. Like a longer leaver takes less effort to lift a given weight. I think on a side hill the tyre pushes sideways more rather than down giving it less down force to grip. My brain also doesn't make much sense to me either😆 I'm sure there's a mathematical equation or test that can be done to show me in layman's terms how daft I'm being 😆

I think it's a portion of the length/wheelbase. Wolverine, with his 340mm wheelbase, is pretty okay with ~270mm wide. Most of the 313-324 rigs are happy in the 240-250 range. The Ryft/Willys build will really tell us where WB needs to be relative to track, as that thing is gonna be WIDE.
