Well, this is not the end of getting this jeep caught up on maintenance - not even close... But, this was a great start in knowing where I'm at on the vehicle's maintenance schedule.
If you have a Jeep CJ, you can get through all of your fluids, gaskets, and filters in a day's time. You just have to accept that it's a dirty, stinky job. Wear eye protection when you're spraying brake cleaner and working beneath things like the transmission and transfer case, use a floorjack where necessary, and throw your tires under the frame as a fail safe if you're putting your body beneath the vehicle.
Here are the links to the products I used to get this project done:
Front Lubelocker Gasket (Dana 30): amzn.to/4244gmI
Rear Lubelocker Gasket (AMC20): amzn.to/3U3U3EU
6 Qts of Valvoline 80-90W Gear Oil: amzn.to/3tY7sUm
5 qts Mobil1 High Mileage 10w30: amzn.to/3SqdWVE
Lucas high mileage oil stabilizer: amzn.to/3HnT3UA
STP Extended Life S3675XL Oil FIlter: Autozone
Brake Cleaner to clean out the differentials: amzn.to/4aZ55Bj
Dana 20 Transfer Case pan gasket: amzn.to/3UccgQV
MUST BUY!!! 200CC Fluid Extractor Syringe: amzn.to/4aWwmVb
Heavy Duty Shop Towels: amzn.to/4b05SlA

A few tips: leave a bolt (loosely) in the top hole of diff covers and pry/drain the diffs. It’s easier to control them. Always loosen any fill plug first. If you can’t loosen/remove a fill plug, you don’t want to drain. A little Teflon pause on plugs will help seal them and make the easier to remove later. Be careful on off chamber and slippery trails with auto lockers. When axles are locked, the vehicle will have a tendency to slide down hill sideways.

Tip about draining gear oil from diffs. Leave the top bolt in the cover loose and pry from the bottom. The cover will come loose and just hang from the top bolt. Good video!

To make those diff services 100% easier get one of these, Motive Products Power Fill Pro Fluid Transfer Pumps. Worth it and saves a bunch of time not having to hand pump gear oil and transfer case fluids!

I’ll be sticking with the 33s! The other Jeeps that I’m going to the Rubicon with will all be on 33s so I’m trying to keep things equally challenging!
