If the popularity of these mutated color/pattern morphs continues, maybe sometime their genome will be sequenced and the relevant variations identified. Even with cheap, easy DNA sequencing that would be a major project, so it may never happen. But if it did, then there could be rapid PCR tests for specific mutations, so you could find out right away even for one of those ivory mystery babies.

I've always felt that pin actually doesn't affect the amount of white in pieds, but yellow belly does. I would say 95% of YB pieds we've produced have been 40-70% white, with no no-white or extremely high white animals. Personally I've been working YB into all of my consumer pet level pied production to stabilize the amount of white. Plus they look awesome, like a saturated normal pied.

I have been viewing many of your videos and I really enjoy the genetic information you present. I noticed during your videos you can at times predict when a snake seems to want to take a nip. With your experiences over the years have you derived a way to establish if your going to be bitten by your reptile? Before I make a final decision on the procurement of a ball python I was interested in the knowledge you might be able to offer in regards to snake psychology. Thank you for any information you can forward.

Hey Justin 😁 4:25 You said the odds for a DG from het x het are 33% I think that might be wrong.. I believe it's 25% 25% DG, 50% het DG, 25% No DG Cheers 😁 (a fan from 🇩🇪)
@salanbe56963 жыл бұрын
For better understanding: In case you know it's definitely NOT A VISUAL DG, then the odds are: 66% het DG, 33% No DG But in your case all possibilities are still existing.. You cant exclude anything at the moment. Thank you 😊
