All these kids are really vulnerable. It was easy for the school and Vaught to take advantage of them. Cate was manipulated by Shetty, Jordan by Brink, Andre & Emma by their parents. In the words of Marie, "We are all messed up" 😅. Andre is not completely useless as he was the one who got the ball rolling to get Sam out despite Cate and Jordan discouraging him not to keep investigating.

There is an extremely high possibility that Cate's story about Rufus is completely true. We've already seen him do that to Marie. Even people who lie often don't lie about EVERYTHING - that's what makes them good liars in the first place.

Andre got the investigation to begin and pretty much got the team together... He was annoying by how much snappy he was against Cate but he is certainly not useless.

In Cate's defense i don't think she knew about the tortue sam went in the woods because in that scene they were doing a blood transfusion with Luke and Sam, they were using sam's blood to make Luke stronger... not torturing them... I don't think Cate saw them actually tortue Sam she just wipes Luke's memory of seeing Sam but I don't think she knows everything they actually do down there

I would think Sam being locked up against his will (in isolation no less), being used as a blood bank for his unwilling sibling and making everyone who knows and cares about him forget he's alive would be considered torture enough for Cate, no? People defend her for all sorts of reasons, but saying she didn't firsthand witness Sam's torture is one of the weak ones.

All of the chemistry was between Cate and Andre although I thought it was a thruple situation. We saw Cate touch Sam earlier in the woods and when they were at the doctor’s house he told her never touch him again so I figured she did things tothen.

Before i found out that andre and cate were hooking up before goldenboy died i had a theory that it was originally goldenboy and andre in a relationship and cate used her powers to get in the middle but after this episode came out that kinda killed that idea lmao, my main thought was that he left the phone and recorded the video specifically for andre said "i love you, and tell cate i love her too" which sounded weird to me, and his last thing he said to andre was that he loved him.

I think Andre and Luke are just really close best friends, which would explain why they were so bonded to one another. A lot of people thought they might’ve been a thrupple but I don’t think so. Seemed like a love triangle/best friends situation (Andre and Luke in love with Cate, Cate loving both Andre and Luke) lol

You know, after hearing yall talk about Rufus it dawned on me that Cate could have easily made Rufus take Marie. She already showed she can control him and doesn't like him. She might have been using him as a red herring because of what he allegedly done to her in the past. I can't remember who suggested Rufus to Marie, if it was Cate or not, but it seems he had a rep already.

I don't know why Cate would get Marie go to him especially since he already rep that Jordan even knew about so Cate's story about Rufus would have checked out regardless if Marie found out about him herself or not
