Fernando, thank you for the tour. You showed me around last year when I came in to audition the Sonus Faber Amati Futura loudspeakers. You have the best turntable repair and calibration bench that I have ever seen. I wish that you had shown it in the video. Maybe next time. For the SkyFi community, Fernando has some of the most sought after components ever produced. His restorations bring back the magic for very desirable systems. It is definitely worth scheduling a visit as you can compare hundreds of products for comparison between make and model.

Wow. So we’ll thought out. Beautiful pieces. This is the closest thing to an audiophile museum I’ve ever seen in the states. Hope to visit someday. Thanks for sharing so much history and for bringing these works of art back to life.

Absolutely stunning shop. What a beautiful job you did setting up perhaps one of the best looking and functioning HiFi restoration and repair facilities in the US. Thanks for sharing. Would love to see more videos on restoration! That would be awesome PS That L-07D is absolutely magnificent

Very thoughtfully laid out and stocked shop/workshop. I'm very impressed with the machining and restoration capabilities SkyFi possesses. But the topper is the central drive through lane and the car on the lift. There should be a car of the month on there, without a cover!
@SkyFiAudio3 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! We actually have our special red 1991 BMW E30 M3 on the lift most times just sitting pretty for our photography. You can learn more about it as it's listed on our site.

Very well done shop. Great to see such unique mom-n-pop type shops. I've been planning to build myself a 1 man prototyping shop , partly aimed at the automotive field. To that end I graduated from an automotive program at a technical college and then graduated from a CNC machining program. I've purchases lots of used machine tools over the years for this. Someday I hope to put up a pole barn and start a shop.

Unreal, I have 3 passions, woodworking, hifi audio equipment and fabrication...also I grew up working on cars. I would work at your shop for free but honestly if it came down to it I'd prolly pay you guys to employ me😁. I don't really have an audio repair shop near me that I trust but after seeing this video and the meticulously thought out implementation of details I know you guys take exceptional pride in your many crafts. Good to know if needed I would definitely be calling you guys. I may be calling to see about building a hifi rack too.

Btw....an old Machintosh amp, cannot be the best amp they ever have made? If, how come they still are in business today, selling crazy amount of units every month, and are still consider, to be one of the greatest amp companies of all time? Please tell me that? I know you vintage people often believe that everything was better in the good old days. But that is more nostalgia than anything else (imo). The looks, the feel, the memories we have with older gears, from when we were youngsters, just have that ability to take us back. That is a very strong feeling, but do not mistake that feeling, and do not use it to decide what's best. :-) Cheers from Denmark

At 27 min you point at some turntables and call them vpi but one is not, its a piere lurne, their entry level model. Lovely turntable but fragile. Pick these up the wrong way and the weight of the feet, will snap the rods between the feet. Not seen one of these in years. Lovely store, and stock.
