@@joshmo7651Aaron donald play was in an unranked regular season game that nobody would've cared about if not for one impressive play, and which Pitt was already leading by two scores. I mean just listen to how unengaged the announcers are, stakes couldn't be lower. clowney's hit came in a bowl game, after getting screwed by the refs, while his team was down in the fourth quarter, forced a fumble which clowney himself recovered, and ultimately was the momentum shift that led to usc winning the game. you could try to argue that Donald's play was more physically impressive (not sure I'd agree) but the Clowney play is elevated by context from just a great play to a historic moment. meanwhile Pitt finished that season sixth in their division

Samaje Perine from OU broke it like a week later iirc
@bradsmolek66974 ай бұрын
@@VolsFan4Life So no one in over 100 years was able to get to that mark, but because Melvin Gordon is unlucky to be beaten out the very next week, the 408 didn't happen? If memory serves, Oklahoma was playing an awful Kansas team, Samaje Perine was playing when it was 44-7 and the weather made it impossible to throw. Melvin Gordon had two separate quarters of 150+ yards, and didn't play the fourth quarter. Anecdotally, I remember at the bar I was at in DC, he caused all the Michigan and Ohio State fans to gasp in anticipation every time he touched the ball in the third quarter because it was clear every touch had a chance to go the distance. It's not the best Wisconsin moment if you are looking for a homer take, but was easily as dominant as many of the plays shown. Shockingly, there is dominant football outside the SEC even if this video seems to forget that at times. Sorry, I guess the new SEC...
