The LSU 75 yard pass on the last play against Kentucky needs to be on this compilation. Also, the 2 point conversion by Boise against Oklahoma should follow the hook and lateral play. Finally, Clint Stoerner putting the ball down on the ground to brace himself as he is stumbling and leaving it there for Tennessee to recover and drive to win the game in their NC season should definitely be on here.

As a Cal alum I may be a bit biased but how can The Play (starting at 14:18) be anything but the top pick?! It was absolute magic; it was the best of college sports, combining raw talent with the will and hope of young players who refuse to give up, even when winning looks logically impossible. A series of unplanned and incredible laterals, all legal and all successful despite the many Stanford defensive players present (any of those players could have swatted down a lateral or attempted to intercept the ball but it flew by each of them), and the triumphant run into the end zone with the most memorable end zone moment in college history. Nobody can ever forget the screaming, the confused Stanford band, the shocked expressions of the fans on both sides until Cal fans realized what their Bears had accomplished, and the most famous lines in college football history: “THE [Stanford] BAND IS OUT ON THE FIELD! THE BEARS HAVE WON! THE BEARS HAVE WON!

Seen so many blocks in the back on that Duke and Miami highlight...lol
@easytherepilgrim23396 жыл бұрын
But you can only see them on instant replay. The play looked good live. And the refs can't have eyes all over the field on a play like that. Duke deserved to lose.

I always skip that play
@juliusbanks69366 жыл бұрын
Uhhh you'd have to be blind to miss them live. And there are 7 officials on the field, so they better have eyes all over the field. Plus the play was reviewed for nearly 20 minutes and they STILL found nothing wrong with it which prompted the ACC to suspend every referee on that crew for like 4 games.
@Ohhelmno6 жыл бұрын
@@easytherepilgrim2339 to be fair the most egregious one was right in front of him as dude threw the final lateral, but that said you can't put yourself in a position to rely on officials to call a penalty to save you.n
@Ohhelmno6 жыл бұрын
@blake roberson they also suspended more than half the officials for it and publically stated that they were wrong and Duke should've won. Not only for the block in the back by 22, but because one of the Miami players was down before the lateral.

I think there are two that deserve mention that weren't in this compilation. The end of the 2006 Fiesta Bowl where BSU outwits Oklahoma twice to win the game. Then the "Hail Mary" at the end of the 1980 Holiday Bowl.

It would be great if the Idaho State Globe of Death play against Boise State would make one of these “craziest plays” list.
@BASavage815 жыл бұрын
@@wanderwiththeworkmans8643 That would be awesome! I just hope the ISU fans dont riot and burn Pocatello down.

Poor Michigan is in all of these greatest, unbelievable, crazy, bizarre, unexpected plays of college history. That loss they had to Michigan State came out of nowhere. And whenever you have a crazy ending, Sean McDonough will be there.

We get it from the Lions, who are professionals at losing the good old fashioned way

#20 for Michigan State actually dislocated his hip as he was tackled into the end zone for the touchdown. I can't even imagine how painful that must have been getting mobbed in the chaos of the celebration! Just an absolutely wild play from start to finish.

I'd add the Bluegrass Miracle to the list. LSU's last play of the game tipped pass completion to Devery Henderson for the game winning touchdown vs Kentucky. Early 2000s. LSU was down by a few points before the play, Like, 80 yards out with not much hope for victory.

12:12 is it legal for the defensive player that picked up the ball to step out of bounds then carry the ball?
@unusualgamerperson7935 жыл бұрын
Ya it is he can pick up the ball but if he steps out WITH the ball then it is out.

because they thought their team won the game but they was still time leave to get one more play and they took it but the other team's fans were celebrating too early XD

The band was getting ready to go on the field to perform at the end of the game because usually the bands come down from the stands a few minutes before the game is over to get ready to perform for either halftime or to march out of the stadium/perform after the game
@breygal6 жыл бұрын
The band doesnt know wtf is going on, they just thought the game was over since the buzzer went off. Little do they know the play continues

There were so many times it appeared the runner was down, so I guess they figured the game was over. I suppose they were set to take the field at the end of the game to play.

Albert "The Continent" Winslow. DT Marshall University. Listed at 395 lbs but had to go closer to 450. Had a thrown pass lodge in his face mask and actually ran it back a few yards without touching it. Interception without ever putting his hands on the ball. That one will be hard to top. It was 1988. Can't find a video, tho.
