I'm proud of Gaston. He's not done yet. Everyone is at different stages and levels of their singing progress. If I only posted perfection all the time, no one would be able to see the metamorphosis of that process. Gaston rocks and is not only a hard working singer, but an excellent musician. This was awesome!!! One question: his voice is spot-on and he hits the high notes, that's awesome!!; however, he sounds bit weak, compared to Aerosmith's version. Is this something you can work on? Or is it due to the type of voice and can't be changed? I was wondering if strength/presence/aggressiveness is something innate or can be worked on. I got your course last year and see a lot of improvement in my singing. Thanks for all the hard work!
@kentamplin7 жыл бұрын
Gaston is a work in progress. He is not done with his vocal development yet. I am proud of how far he has come thus far. So yes. It's something you can work on and develop over a period of time and practice.

Hey Ken tamplin, Im a beginner singer, trying to learn singing and see what I can reach^-^. I joined school choir and its fun singing, but I cant really practice because I cant sing too loud because of my family and neighbours, so I'm holding back alot and cant really practice. Do you know what I could do? Maybe some cheap way to get my room "sound-proof" or something? Thanks for all your videos and help^-^
@kentamplin7 жыл бұрын
Some go to empty school rooms or church rooms after hours, or on weekends, and sing there. Others go out in the garage or down in a basement. Some take a car to an empty parking lot and sing in there. Maybe a car in the driveway? Some take a walk in the park and find an empty field. There are lots of ways to get some privacy and isolation from others. Maybe the room at your school where your choir practices could be available before or after choir time. Ask your teacher for ideas. They might help.
@yarimarik5247 жыл бұрын
Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy Hey, thanks for answering so fast:) For singing, empty fields outside are pretty good, but practicing id best done in a place I have internet to watch videos about how to improve, without them its kinda hard I think? I'll find something :D

Ken you are the best vocal teacher I ever had. I am 15 years old, been singing sense I was 4, I love music and I have been looking for ways to get in the music industry and by far I am loving it. :) I discovered your program when I was 13 and I took your tips on your channel for about 2 years and I barley practiced to be honest and in 1 week of practicing total did me better then 11 years of practicing. I must ask, Ed Sheeran did not sing good in the start do you have any idea how he got so good? Like can you learn to sing good just by practicing or is that a myth? Thank you for everything Ken, LOVE YOU!!!
@kentamplin7 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can learn to sing well by practicing correct methods. You can learn to sing poorly by practicing poor techniques and methods a lot. So it's not just how much you practice, but WHAT you practice on and HOW you practice it. THEN how much you practice does you a lot more good.
@manaswagh33567 жыл бұрын
Hey sir I have been watching ur videos for a while. U r amazing. Sir Pls tell me how much time should I do the alaaaaah exercise everyday? Thank you so much
@kentamplin7 жыл бұрын
You should practice at least one hour per day to make reasonable progress. A variety of exercises would be better than the same one all the time. Practice on the different vowels.
@debjitofficial89067 жыл бұрын
please sir teach me..I want to a long and strong vocal range..but I suffer from vocal nodules for 6 months..so i cant understand what to do now..but I follow your vocal range and daily warmup excercise...plz suggest me what I do now..
@kentamplin7 жыл бұрын
You need to be seen by a medical professional to have an assessment of your nodules and the probable cause. Oversinging is the most common cause. Make sure you are keeping the volume down to a safe level.

Hey ken, how do i sing in head voice? I know head voice and falsetto are different. But are they totally different registrations though? You see, I've noticed that head voice sounds like falsetto, but whenever i try to sing i head voice, i end up pulling chest and it sounds bad and a lot of the time it sounds pulled, strained, yelled, as well as flat, sharp, you name it lol.
@kentamplin7 жыл бұрын
You need to do this properly, and it takes time and proper practice. A question and answer on KZbin won't cut it for getting your voice where you want to go. Think of your voice as a whole, not bits and pieces. It can't be done through Q&A. I've put out several videos on Head Voice. Those will get you farther than anything I could write in a few sentences. My course and Pro Forums can help you to get that sorted out.
@mrkudoozles7 жыл бұрын
Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy ok, i see, also one other thing....will i have to develop head voice separately from falsetto? I have watched your videos on head voice. I've watched a loooooot of your videos, and practically drove everyone around me nuts with them haha. I already have falsetto notes, but does that mean that my head voice is already as developed as my falsetto?
@kentamplin7 жыл бұрын
You need more cord closure to get the excess air out of your falsetto.
@mrkudoozles7 жыл бұрын
Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy thanks for the advice. I don't ask too many questions do I?

Sounds damn good, especially coming from someone whose primary language is Spanish and not English. The only part that I didn't like was from 4:43 onward - it just fell quite short of the original, although still sounds a hell of a lot better than anything I could do.
