Danny, I’ve enjoyed your “Crazy Arms” vdeos performed on a variety of steel brands. Being a steeler myself, it appeared obvious to me that the Sho-Bud was your favorite. You seemed to play ON the others, but played WITH the Sho-Bud. You became one with the Sho-Bud. Great stuff.

Absolutely not sho bud is not my favorite.. I've been playing the emmon's guitars since 1982.. I never even owned a sho bud until a year ago. You may or may not realize that most of the steels I play in videos are guitars that I have done work on.. In other words I don't own them.. So if you see more of one brand than another it doesn't necessarily reflect my preference..

Oh thank you I was lucky enough to play with Ray Price for years. You can find a video of me playing this very song. On a show called the Texas connection from 1991

Awesome work! Just starting to learn how to play PSG and if I could play half as good as you, you'd still be twice as good as me! Lol. Seriously, great picking and pedaling. Wow, just went back to watch it again...I didn't notice that bar slant the first time. If I could play a quarter as good as you do, I'd be satisfied (at least for a while). Cheers!

Your comment touched me, just a few years ago I started playing psg with a 12 string "universal" tuning for which I could find no instructional info anywhere. It was a total disaster at first, but I kept coming back to it, started finding simple chords and things at first. I NEVER expected to be able to play like this video, but I can now, and have even learned the "bakersfield" style, super fast shredding and now I'm looking to join bands in my area!. Point is- just keep coming back to it, you WILL be playing like this ! And don't shy away from the C6 neck, it's a whole different animal, but western swing is a blast! And makes you even better at E9.

What I'm playing is a Hodge podge of a bunch of ideas strung together.. But it took me over 20 years to get the touch tone and intornation correct. Or at least acceptable. Just keep at it and you'll chip away and gradually be rewarded. Always record yourself so you can listen to your progress
