i built a 40x60 20ft high shop out of block , and i made a small trommel with hopper , could put 20 bags of sackrete in hopper . adjust hopper door for smooth sackrete flow . trommel was made 4 ft long using 16'' round pipe that obviously rotated with spray bar. got water set just right for nice loose concrete, then used a 4'' grain spreader attached to 4'' heavy vynil hose and a 6.5 hp juan dong honda clone to rotate spreader screw drive. pumped it right up to the top. like a mini concrete pump truck .. worked like a patent product , had my great nephew putting bags of sackrete in hopper and the whole shop done in 4 hrs. took about 8 hrs to build the trommel but it was worth every bit of that time. hopper was made out of a small chest freezer , trommel was rotated by the 6.5 hp motor along with auger. 4'' wide ribbed pulley on motor , welded small drive shaft right off crankshaft at pulley . lol the wobbling etc worked perfect and sackrete vibrated out just fine. real easy fab was amazed it worked so well. got 8'' caster wheels for trommel to roll on at harbor freight. im the same build it myself.

Your new tracked loader is going to be great for maintaining the road to get up to the fortress on top of the mountain! It's amazing how much work you have done up there! That's awesome that Dave brought up all that block and concrete to the top of the mountain and forked it up on the fortress, I can only imagine how many trips in the old Dodge that would have been!

@thaddeustroyer

And by his numbers... 1,680,000 LBS of concrete hand lifted (mostly) to make the place, and that's only if he touches it ONCE. most times, the bags have to be lifted 2-3 times or more to get them to the final location and mixed. I don't know if he is including mortar bags as well or if he was thinking of just concrete bags, but if he didn't include morter, then that needs to be added to the equation as well. Alan is a beast!

Im currently in year 3 of building my shed solo in my spare time, i could have just paid 100k to get it built but i have used mostly recycled materials and every bracket etc custom made all from and stone/steel and concrete and total cost should be around 10k These labor off love projects us guys do really define us as real men haha. I'm absolutely in awe of what you have done on that property Alan, imo it is almost biblical, in terms of effort and man hours you've put into this project. Clearly a labour of love. I am curious though, what is the motivation behind this construction? What do you want it to be when it's completed, other than impregnable? How old do you reckon to be then, to be able to eventually relax, step back, enjoy the fruits of your labour?
