Love those NF 50 cents pieces!...Great find!...Being a metal detectorist from Newfoundland I've found several of those coins!....Just found my first Canadian 50 cent piece back in September dated 1939 along with a 1937 Mercury dime in the same hole!!....

It’s crazy how from one place to another can determine how the coins will turn out. We have found some beautiful green large cents. Area’s that have less water drainage ends up so crusted 😜 Eric’s 50 cent is in pretty decent shape, such a big beautiful coin, I want one 😂

Wicked awesome day! So awesome to get a Newfie Vicky half! Super congrats! 👍🎉 The wreath was a design that seemed to be custom for all the commonwealth countries and I wonder if that signifies waves being surrounded by ocean. I remember my father had a holed 1888 Nfld half but don’t know whatever happened to it after he passed. So awesome for Yves to get a Vicky half as his first!👍 Got an Eddie half as my only one so far but would be over the moon on a Vicky! So sweet to get a 2nd Newfie silver and an Eddie fishy at that! Still a bucket lister for any coin from there. ISIS. Popular name for a pet including someone I knew until some horrible group came along. Always sweet when an LC comes out. @@PaleOranges good luck ha ha! They started minting the 50 c in 1870 but only made the dollar starting 1935 so I guess the chances of finding a 50 cent are higher than the dollar.
