Dodge you are such an amazing interviewer. I watched another very well know KZbinr (I’m sure ppl can guess who) and saw him push a very vulnerable man into a full ptsd episode, proper shaking having flash backs, retraumatising, the guy and just for views pushed and pushed until the guy got to his worse point. You have so much compassion and come across very trauma informed, whilst still getting the story without hurting anybody. That’s a huge pat on the back for you. I don’t know your past but I’ve never seen you traumatise anybody and if someone you interview starts to go down a dark path you redirect. You genuinely want to help ppl on your podcast and educate ppl who don’t understand the horrific life of someone living with cptsd or ptsd. I can’t praise you enough. You don’t appear to do anything just for views you just want to let the person speak safely without damaging them further. Good on you isn’t enough to say. Great great interview as always.

I was in NI the year before Chris joined up. All of the "players" were known and catalogued. It was a very bizarre situation and the watershed moment for me to never take anything the media says at face value. I'll need to pull up my boot straps and get a move on, I'm only 73 countries and 40 US states! I ended up in HK, in 1995 and it was phenomenal, spent 6 fantastic years there before moving to the USA. I had an ex GF that ended up on meth (or "shabu", as she referred to it), she looked as gorgeous as ever when I bumped into her in Wan Chai, the lights were on but nobody was home. Coincidentally, I met her in Neptunes II.

Wow. Loved this. I was on the same tour in the same Base but was attached to the same Company from Support Company. I got a GOC NI Commendation for capturing a terrorist. It is a certificate that turned up in the post and said well done for capturing an armed gunman. The terrorist had 2 weapons on him (a pistol and sawn of shotgun) and a17 further weapons at his home. He ran down an alleyway and I flanked and challenged him as he excited the alley. Royal Marines never seemed to get any awards as the Army - the Royal Marines Officers at this time were so arrogant they would never put their men up for an award! I also had to go back to the Diplock court in West Belfast - a court run with no jury and was not found guilty I was involved in many more incidents and it was much more busy than I thought it would be.

Chris has offered me life coaching for 60 quid an hour and took the opportunity to inform me that I am operating at a lower dimension to him and that I am stuck in the 4th dimension. I asked Chris how he managed to make that assessment considering he doesn't know me at all and how he came to that conclusion. Chris had no answer to these questions and since deleted his comment. To be honest this doesn't sound like an enlightened persons comment. Anyway I am not here to bash Chris, I am just being open and honest. I have previously supported his channel from KZbin and Locals but after those low dimension comments, why would I support that? The bloke is nothing but a GRIFTER and a fantasist with a massive EGO.

@Abefroman1812 basically he portrays himself as anti establishment, he says hes enlightened to how the system really works, were all getting fingered blah blah blah. Sounds great and it attracts my attention. What you find with many of these characters is that they're not really against the system. They're winging it. He thinks he's the real deal. He's not one of us. Basically he had Brendon on his show. Brendon lost his rag and called him out as a phoney. I'd have to watch it again to remember exactly what got said but it showed Walter mitty for what he is.

I'm sorry but I have to say something. Have any other Royal Marines seen this. It's so full of holes that it's embarrassing. It's like Swiss cheese. Just a few of the big ones. The endurance course is on Woodbury Common, not Exmoor. You spend half your training up there you would never forget. SBS guys do not meet recruits at the station. Drill Leaders would not thin you out to the NAFFI every lesson. The drill square is right in front of the officers mess for a start. DLs take their jobs very seriously, especially in basic training. It's a huge part of the discipline. You would not describe the SA80 as a fully automatic machine gun. The notice period is 12 months, not 18. Another detail you wouldn't forget. I'm not saying you weren't in the Marines but it does look very suspicious to anyone who has gone through CTCRM. I went through in 96, 28 years ago and remember every detail. I get it was a long time ago and you have had a tough time. But you are on a big platform. At least do a bit of revision before you talk about it again.

I don’t think it fair to say “the military is full of trauma victims with drug or alcohol abuse stories” because it isn’t however I would like to know how you personally would cope with the stress of combat which has been especially intense for periods in recent history.You strike me as perhaps being a little disrespectful to HMForces,perhaps I’m incorrect.
@Veritas1187 ай бұрын
I don’t agree with your statement here. I served and have never taken drugs and don’t drink. What frustrates me however are the guys who jump on the old PTSD bandwagon. The reality is, those individuals had mental health problems prior to joining and hid it very well whilst serving. It’s only when they leave the military and can’t look after themselves do they then claim PTSD. The handful of guys I know who have done this all have the same trait.. alcohol and drug abusers with a victim mentality. The one guy I know claimed to have PTSD.. baring in mind he did nothing whilst serving apart from work in the store room and was a well documented drug abuser and alcoholic. He was also awful when he served. Chris is no different.
