You’ll have walked past my house between Fort Matilda and Gourock Pierhead. I can’t believe you went into Aulds on Kempock Street and you didn’t have a fudge doughnut. Sacrilege! Always nice when my wee corner of the world gets featured.

Way back as a primary school child, I was often taken on holiday to the Hamilton, Belshill, Motherwell area where my mum's family lived. During the years visiting, I managed to see all four of your towns....though my memories are somewhat hazy, sixty+ years on. Revived those memories. Thanks.

I love a little hunt like this. Makes you go places you wouldn't normally go, and maybe discover something cool along the way. A few years back I hunted down a specific spot in Japan that was featured in an anime. Turns out they draw their locations virtually identical to the existing real-life places. Not just the one spot, but the whole area was recognisable!

That was one of your best yet, Scott. Jeezo, midgies in November! The Scottish midge is a hardy beast, for sure. You'll be ready for another sausage roll in Auld's after that. Next time you go, maybe it'll have been renamed "Young's", and it'll be rammed. Maybe not in November though. But that was great. Thanks for taking us along!

Yep, that "modern" building is the old Rothesay Academy, built in 1959 and vacant since around 2007 when it moved to new premises. There's been some kind of school on that site since forever and the 1959 construction replaced a fire-gutted previous one.

Oh well, better late than never. For the past few months I’ve been bingeing on your videos (over 90 watched in the past week alone), and have enjoyed the wide variety of your content. I’m looking forward to more of the same at some point, but meanwhile, remain at cruising altitude and keep on producing these great videos.

Fab video. My youngest and I cycled up the road past the golf course on our way from the Largs campsite (which you walked past in your over the moors video) to the Bute ferry. It's quite a hill on a tandem with full camping kit, but nicer than being close passed on the fast main road.

Thanks Scottie. Another great video programme. (yes, I still spell programme the old fashioned way). And photographers always sought out hills in the past to take their panoramic shots from, because people liked horizons. Thats's why so many cities have elevated lookouts. In Dundee on my pilgrimage to where my dad was born (Invergowrie) smack in the middle of Dundee we found Law Hill. It gave us magnificent unhindered views of Dundee and Tayside. As we soaked up the view on a late spring morning, a wee rabbit grazed at our feet. A magic moment to treasure.
