I’ve made a promise to never fly with Pegasus after my awful experience several years ago. The gate number for the flight kept changing at the last minute. The staff were all confused. They started yelling at us and telling us to run. My son was only ten at the time. He was traumatized. Also, the way they treated some of the survivors of the crash landing incident at Sabiha Gokcen in February 2020 was appalling. One of the injured passengers, Emirhan Aydin spent years trying to bring a case against the company. His legal challenge was blocked at every turn by the court officials who were clearly being influenced by the Pegasus executives. When he tried to expose the injustice, he couldn’t find a single newspaper or a tv channel in the country that would agree to publish his story. The owners of these media companies would not allow any negative publicity about Pegasus as they were all mates.

Modlin is a great little airport. It's come leaps and bounds from just a few years ago. Amazing for such a small airport the destinations it goes to. In the summer there's a nice little bit out the front where you can buy yourself a tyskie or żywiec and sit on a deck chair enjoying the planes landing. Good video Scott!!

Absolute rubbish. Its a low cost airline and very good value for money. Been travelling from Stansted to Sabiha often and never had issues. I had more issues with EasyJet and Jet2 when travelling to Bodrum.

The low rating of Pegasus mostly comes forum Turkish people who compares PGS with THY. If you compare PGS with other budget airlines - as you should- , it is pretty ok.

@benb.92358 сағат бұрын
Of course, they are not so professional how THY is. The pro`s of Pegasus are the hub in Istanbul and its wide destination net. At some routes (example Germany-Turkiye) you can fly hourly. No idea, how the comments at TripAdviser are about the real competitors easyjet & RyanAir.

It looks beautiful there. Germany has been on my bucket list since i was a kid. My wife lived there as a child. I love how you show the reality of travelling. I just figured out why I cant stop watching your videos. Its because I feel like I am actually there. You don't just show the tourist stuff and the nice spots, you show it all. The wrong turns and walking everywhere. Something I do often when I am in Romania.

Railway services and Metro don’t talk to each other because one is operated by the government which is ruled by Erdogan’s AK Party and the other is operated by the municipality which is ruled by the biggest opposition party CHP.

I travel from Newcastle to Lourdes (well an hour or so further) twice a year to see my mum in SW France. I hope you have a pillow, or one of those ring things, I feel temporarily disabled when I get off the Megabus after 7 or more hours, absolutely batter my vape for 10 minutes then get on the Stansted Nat express. Hopefully after that 2 hour journey I have enough money/ time to buy a couple of glasses of wine cos I'm sure Ryanair flights are more nerve-wracking because they're trying to be as fuel efficient as possible, it seems to take an age to start cruising, and that slight feeling of dropping backwards only happens with them? KLM, it's zoom, you're level, have a complimentary glass of wine! I respect the hell out of this, you're a better man than me....

Lack of signage is a phenomenon I keep trying to to raise awareness on here in Turkiye. State hospital are exactly the same; you always have to ask someone to know where a department is, then where the doctor is, then where to sign in or if you need to sign in, where to get things signed, where to go for x y z tests. Things would be sooo much easier if airports, hospitals, train stations, metro stations, transportation hubs etc would simply have clear signages, maps and info on how the procedure runs. I once stepped onto the wrong boat in Istanbul because there was no clear signage inside the waiting area, only on the outside! People treated me like an idiot, I sure felt like one, but come on, can't be so difficult to put some signs up at every logical spot!

Sadly i’ve spent 6+ hours on Ryanair/ Wizz Air plenty of times, not because of long flights, but the great trick of boarding everyone on time then getting the dreaded ‘crowded airspace’ delay

Back in the day, if you didn't know the area and the cab driver twigged that, they'd take you on a roundabout journey cost at least twice as much as it should. Now we all have on line maps so they don't get away with all that much.

Sabiha Gökçen is somewhat more central than Istanbul Airport on the northwest side of Istanbul. Considering Istanbul is an overcrowded city, SAW as the central airport, is not that busy in my opinion and looking at the footage of you showing the passport counters (you might get into trouble for filming the counters even that far away so be careful) seems that it was not the busiest I've seen the place. I regularly fly to CGN and there were times CGN was more crowded than SAW. About Pegasus, most of the negative stuff like delays are almost always airport related, the baggage size thing is never enforced if you are boarding from Türkiye; they never check the size of carry ons and if your carry on is blatantly bigger than what is considered a carry on they send it with the ''check in baggages'' free of charge if it's not massive (It is at the discretion of the officer at the gate but they are not trying to scam you). Flight attendants are ''happy to be there'' and helpful, If you don't like your seat they help you change it after take off if there are seats available even if you haven't paid for the more expensive rows. It is like they are more fond of helping you rather than making the airline more money.
