This brought back so many memories. Me, my wife and daughter were in Cairns in 2008, stayed in the same hotel and did Kuranda and the reef. We still talk about it regularly. You and Blair will do the same in the future I'm sure. Thanks for another good one

I've had one "experience" with Flixbus London to Brussels, took 24 hours, absolute monumental F@ck ups from start to finish. Will NEVER use this dogsh*t company again. No refund, no apology, not even any water onboard, the staff were rude, aggressive and offered zero explanations until all of the passengers started to complain in unison. Garbage. I like bus/coach/train rides, this was horrific. Use this company at your own peril!

I dare you to travel Perth in Scotland - Pamplona in Spain via FlixBus. It's a 40 hour journey with some drastic scenery changes that you might enjoy. You'll also have to go through London and (unfortunately) Mercy in Paris. Think you can handle it? Good luck!

Great video as usual, your son doesn't seem very interested but I might be wrong. Reminds me of when I took my 15 year old son to New Zealand north and south island, snowy southern alps to the warn vibrant city of Auckland, stopped off Singapore 5 days on the way back. He then admitted he preferred the mini holiday in the west country. Gutted....

The horrible attitude towards animals they have out there is one of the many reasons I’d not go back. I lived there for over 4 years, and the way they treat cats and dogs broke my heart.

I am so glad you had a good time in our lovely place. It's easy for us to forget what a wonderful place this is. Where you travelled was extensively damaged in Cyclone Jasper and we are still a year or two away from all damage being made good. When you crossed the Barron, that river got close to the bridge, the level was so high. The damage beyond the waterfall was extensive and there was loss of animal life and massive damage to houses and infrastructure. But nature is resilient and in some places, unless you knew, you'd not know. The cable car is always worth the trip, but I would take the train up and cable car down to give you more options.

Big pluses are safety, cleanliness, top healthcare facilities, quality of services, availability of whatever. Big minuses are difficult traffic and high cost of living.
